HalfLife2 models in CS:S

If they're in the model browser, chances are you can use them. Most of the models are from source models.gcf, which is shared across games.
 
What about using CSS models in Half-Life 2? I tried moving a feww from the CSS gcf to the models directory in my mod, and they worked, but it was a pain in the butt to figure out which materials to move along with them. Is there any way to create your own gcf?
 
wouldnt the materials folder be the same name as the model? Shouldnt be that hard to move CSS models over if you really had too.
 
The model materials are in the texture browser, incidentally.
