How slow and incredibly mundane is Halo PC's multiplayer component? It is by far the slowest and most boring game I've ever played. What a disapointment.

i was enjoying it alot, unlimited grenades rocks, plasma nades own, how many people were you playing online with?

6-7, but numbers are irrelivant... my point was that it's the slowest first person shooter I've ever had the unfortunate fate of playing.

My grandpa runs faster than that. Think I'll stick with RTCW: ET until HL2 is released. :)

That's what I always say! NOT A SINGLE GAME can challenge ET. Its so good its unbelievable, yet one of the simplest and smallest and most definetly cheapest modern games there is :)

I love Halo's multiplay :) Sure the running is slow - that's why there are vehicles.

(don't start me on ET - the poor man's RTCW . inferior in soooo many ways)

ET is really good, but I had to switch to DoD after the servers stoppe showing up and I was too lazy to look for a patch.

Granted, the vehicles in Halo multiplayer can be a bit of fun.

rec, is this your 5th or 6th thread bashing Halo? I htink oyu need to ban yourself for spamming. :)

Anyway, HALO PC multiplayer cannot compare to Halo Xbox multiplayer. (see one of your other thread sfor the reason.)

Is there a Halo/MP Demo?

*RTCW:ET sucks tbh, played it for about 30 minutes then decided never to play that piece of shit again

ET sucks.

im sorry but it does.
free or not its a joke.

it takes 1/2 a clip to kill a guy, there isnt many ppl per map allowed, theres NO vehicles, the maps are too small to do anything different on, and basicly its a badly pieced together game.

i tried (realy tried) to like it but its just not Strategic/tactical/realistic.

plus the fact that i lagged on a 10+ player server when my 2.5 meg cable runs at 21 ping smooth as hell in a game of BF1942 with 64+ppl and full graphics/sound settings.

theres so many better MP games.

Battlefield 1942 and its many mods

HL tfc

CS

crist even a laggy prone to stall any second game of Medieval total war is better than ET.

disclaimer

*this is just my opinion and in no way should this post be considered as a "review". i dont like it and if you dont agree then fine, lets agree to disagree*

I have been playing Halo's multiplayer for a few hours now and have enjoyed it. It was be alittle slow paced, but nothing that's to annoying. I love having dogfight mid-air witht he banshees. :p

Is it slow paced as in, the walking speeds have been reduced? Or is it laggy, or what?

I've never played it, so I don't know. Actually... I've never played it on X-Box, either....

I LOVED Halo's MP on the XBOX. Yeah, the walking speed will seem gimped at first if you're a big online MP person, but once you get used to the speed it seems natural. I play UT2K3 the most out of my MP shooter games and I can go from it to playing Halo with only a few minutes of adjustment time.

RTCW: ET is a good game, but not outstanding. I can play it for about an hour before I get bored with the lac of maps. I'm also not big on the realistic games. Yeah, I DO like to take 50 or so rounds and keep walking in my MP (SP is a different story). I don't like feeling like some "n00b" with a bit of luck can take me out with almost the same efficiency as a skilled player.

I consider BF1942 to be an outstanding game concept, it's just that the lack of team playing in the game ruins it for me everytime. Out of a server with 30 people on each team it usually breaks down like this. 10 skilled people working as a team trying to attack/defend a certain front, 5 people wondering randomly around the map, and 15 people waiting at the airplane (or big vehicle) spawn points. And 85% of the people who get the planes end up flying them straight into the ground. So in the end you wind up with a decent 20 person battle. The people are what ruined the game for me.

All in all, I would say that as far as online PC-MP-FPS go, TFC and UT2K3 are my favorites.
