Microsoft sends along word that Halo for the PC has Gone Gold.

It's stupid. Who wants to play a 2 year old console shooter when the PC is THE place to be for quality shooters.. did you see the textures?

It's just horrible, and it has console style gameplay.

u do know halo was the only game worthy to buy an xbox, u do know they have added loads of new features to the game like new tanks and guns, PLUS MULTI-PLAYER come on oh and did i mention u can play it with a MOUSE & KEYBOARD , but halo is old and now we have hl2 so really halo aint gonna do much on the pc market.
 
Halo sucks ass. Xbox or otherwise. Its gonna be raped by Hl2 on the 30th.

Bungie shoudl start making marathon 4, not Halo x.

I've been playing the beta for a week or so now, and love the multiplay to bits. It's like BF1942 but with good fighting.

Console to PC ports shouldn't exist.... But in this case, Halo was supposed to be a PC game, so I guess the PC community deserved to get it, just..... late....
 
Its a fun game, regardless of platform. Its on my list after SCII.
 
Halo is gold for now 5days. And the release date is 30/09/2003.
No news of half-life2 gold.
Don't except to see hl2 out the 30sept2003.

I can't believe someone on a HL2 board would even mention Goldeneye as a good game. What is this? The casual corner?!?!

goldeneye was awesome- pc people have serious bias against console games, especially console fps that never made it to the pc. I for one realize people enjoy those games and dont make stupid statements like "omg console games suck, pc is the goods omg!" you know not everyone likes the mouse and keyboard.

Halo is quality multiplayer fun, and now i'll be able to aim the sniper rifle without having to use the nipple thing :p

I have played and beaten both Goldeneye and Halo (without a mouse or keyboard--and I even beat Halo again co-op), and they both suck ass. I'm sorry, its just the truth.
 
Halo is an awesome game. I'm trying to get both Halo and HL2 if I can get enough money for both..

Halo looks much better than what i had expected, i own the beta and i must say that i am impressed, the bump mapping adds alot to the realism. I'm not a Halo fanboy but the game on XboX was fine... so for those who don't have an XboX the game will be... fine...
 
I've never heard such snobery before. I own a PC, Mac, PS2 and an Xbox. They're all great and I enjoy different things on each of them. Halo was a great game, fair enough it has aged but look at CS anf HL1. Playability is what counts, I still play Track and Field under emulation, its graphics suck but its still addictive. If the gameplay in Halo is still there I'll play it. We're all gonna play and were all excited HL2 because we know it will be a damn fine game, not just graphics but gameplay. Stop all this snobery all you haters just sound like children squabling about your dad being better than theirs. Grow up and just enjoy your gaming
 
The snobbery is here to stay. People seem to think that as their pc cost 1000's of pounds it must have the best games. Sadly, most pc games are just awful, unnoriginal and show absolutely no innovation. (There are the few exceptions that make owning a pc for gaming worth while tho :))

I'm not a console fan boy - or biased towards a certain platform - it's just the way it is.

GFX don't result in a enjoyable gaming experience alone (and in multiplay are almost redundant) It's about gameplay at the end of the day.

Can't wait for HL2 tho - 'pc in good game shocker' :)
 
I'm sorry I don't agree with the academy of interactive arts.

I'm not sure if you know this, but some people think independentlyof large organizations and review sites. Corporate whore.

Halo for Xbox is a great game with a good story line and good music, no need to bash it because you dont like it. The people who like it out number the people who dislike it. The pc version is annoying though with the training part in the beginning though. No need to buy it since ive got an Xbox.
 
Don't buy it for single player True Weltall - it's gonna be in multiplayer where Halo pc will shine :) ... infact it's only really in multiplayer that pc games shine (ooooooh controversial ;) )

Eh? Deus Ex had a great singleplayer game, but the multiplayer sucked major ass.

Take System Shock 2 - top game (which Deus Ex stole from shamelessly).

pc's shine because they have mice and keyboards. Also arn't you forgetting that HL is a great single player game. Multi player is great but you can't beat the suspense and anticipation of a single player for the first time. In multiplayer its the same old maps over and over shooting the same people (in the same places if their campers). I disagree
