Halo PC gone gold (Come on Valve)

those bitches at microsoft and bungie think they can dump 2 year old shit that was originally meant for the pc but moved to xbox to get people to buy xboxes and expect pc gamers to pay for it.

What beta? Was there a demo? Or are you talking about some kind of leaked version?

warez anyone? ;)

There's a leaked version floating about.

I'm gonna get Halo PC just to make my buddy with an X-Box jealous of my platform's superiority. That and to finally KICK HIS ASS LIKE IT'S NEVER BEEN KICKED (now that I have a mouse.) He will of course be using his favorite X-Box controller with an adapter for PC use.

this is the best thing about halo for PC...teaching all the console people wo think that the controller is awesome that it's actually worthless for an FPS

It's harder with a joypad ........ using a mouse and keyboard is just easier, not better. It is possible to be very skilled with a joypad.

Having played the first few levels of Halo pc it seems obvious that the single player game isn't as good as it is on the XBox - and this is due to the control method.

For single player games, having analogue movement, rumble and trigger buttons adds to the immersion greatly. Seeing as immersion is what single player games are all about, this is obviously important - and results in a more enjoyable experience.

Multiplayer is a completely different story - and this is where mouse and keyboard rule ....... and why multiplayer pc Halo will be very cool.

(it's quite amusing watching my 'pc only' mates trying to use a joypad. They run about looking at the ceiling and shooting everything but the desired target. Of course they dismiss this as 'joypads being shite' ..... but they know, just as much as I do, that it's just lack of practice, dexterity and generally being crap with pads :))
