Well the Atom bomb was tested for the first time 60 years ago today (July 16th 1945) throwing the planet into the nuclear age, since that day We've managed to have multiple damaging nuclear accidents, several dozen nuclear weapons go missing (Counting US only) and a total of 331 weapon developments shots again counting the US only yet for all the science, panic, preparations and testing we still (very thankfully) have had only two cases where the Atom Bomb was used in war.

I echo SimonomiS's statement, no use of atom/nukes/big fekin weapons in our lifetimes
 
Well in the UK less than 1% of our power is Nuclear I think.
 
Advice: If your ever in a nuclear explosion your screwed, face it, so why not take the chance to strike an amusing pose against a wall, the Thermic rays mean your pose's shadow will be etched in the wall forever.

Hmm, I should plan ahead. What kind of pose would be best, and easy to see? Maybe a masturbating one?
 
Stike a disco pose. Confuse the heck out of everybody.
 
I was thinking that Foxtrot that pose and your actions burnt into the wall for thousands of years - It would become a new art icon surely.

I think it is closer to around 20% and as far as i am aware there are plans in both America and the UK to build more Fission reactors.

Preach that s#it!! I like the Dilbert quote where Dogbert is explaining his point of view on gun control - everyone may have whatever weapon they want, but only Dogbert can have the ammunition because he wouldn't trust anyone else with anything more dangerous than string.

I have a feeling that a majority of the people on this forum are fairly young, as in young enough to not remember the cold war. I only caught the tail end of it, and I hated it! In the '50s and 60's, they had movies that showed how to survive a nuclear war by ducking under desks or waiting it out in custom bomb shelters. By the '80s they knew better and we would watch movies about what the aftermath would be like and frankly I was frightened out of my mind a couple of times. There was no "waiting it out" anymore, there was "eat radioactive rats in the rubble of civilizaton while you die of radiation poisoning if you are unlucky enough to survive the blasts". Not good things to feed elementary school kids.

Fu¢k nuclear weapons. Here's to never even considering that again. :cheers:

That has to be the most pointless post on this forum and that is saying something with the people on here. :rolling:
