The reason I visit this forum is because the debates mere are so different from those in Sweden. We don't debate about abortion in Sweden, it's obvious that it should be allowed, the same goes for gay marrige. What we dont got here, but has plenty in Sweden are feminism debates. There's an political storm in Sweden about this. They ever proposed that men should have higher tax than women. But there's nothing of that kind here...wonder why.
 
This forum made me realise how much I hate politics again.

sometime soon I'll post another similiar poll with more options ...warning to those who're reading this and groaning ...you could always hang out at the cs forums for the duration :)
 
I suggest that people be required to take a test in tolerance before being admitted to the politics forum.

I agree, this forum should be renamed "Flames Forum" because thats what it has really turned into, I haven't been in this forum for several months because I know its the same ole' flaming going on as before. TBH the forum should be deleted, if they want to go talk about politics go to a political forum. This is a video game forum.

Sorry but you can't make flamers grow up or quit flaming, they will always do it. Just look at what Grey Fox said a few minutes ago "Ok could you now please go and die you ****ing asshole." Now if it was a little more civilized, MAYBE more people would come in here more often, but people like Grey Fox make most turn away, cause they don't want to hear it.

Hey, the politics forum keeps the flamers out of the general discussion, which is a pretty good thing.

If you don't like the politics forum, then goto the other ones, that's what most of the peeps are doing to be honest.
 
why should we delete this forum? i know some 1 on 1 squabbles occur, but dont go for spoiling it for us all by trying to get it deleted. alot gets discussed on this forum.

and when you say "if they want to go talk about politics go to a political forum", say that about the music forum, say that about the art forum, heck you could even get rid of the general topic chat as it isnt to do with gaming ;)

well not to be defending anyone who uses that sort of language but bodacious has been riding people's backsides (he's not the only one) more than a little unreasonably in the last little while (see my sig) ..so some people have had enough.

Still, I would probably come to this forum if people weren't as hostile, I remember when it first started, it was fine, NOT AS BAD AS IT IS NOW. Now I can barely understand the point of trying to debate another person because they have something childish to say, mature responses have from what I've seen decreased, now just a bunch of flamage in most threads, not all.
 
I agree to an extent ...there's certain people here who's sole reason for visiting HL2.net is so they can flame in this particular forum ...you wont find them in any other section of HL2 ...most days I even question whether they're gamers or just people who cant stomach anyone having a different viewpoint than their own ...but I agree the politcs forum scares away a lot of people who have a legitamate contribution to make

Well I tried to contribute to it, but no matter what argument anyone may make, it always end up drowned out by the flames. I'm not saying you're a flamer (I don't think you're a flamer at all), but certain members just ruin it for everyone.

i don't think people really change their opinoins, everybody just tryes to prove their point or if they can't just flame people, but i also hate lables (s.a. liberal, left wing...ect)
 
no fair ..the conservatives (all 4 of them) will provide you with tactics to use ..like ankle biting, eye gouging, and name calling

Noone cares for the stupid whining about how you hate each other- take it out of this site or you will be taken out.
