You didn't give him a chance to be polite , but I agree. Joim has improved - even if someone isn't polite to you, it doesn't mean you can insult him. You just ignore him or try harder to be nicer. His rudeness is his problem - or your problem if you take it that way. I tend to find people are rude anyway, so I try and ignore it. The only reason people are polite is if they need something - people are really selfish. And some people aren't even polite when they do, and that's just rude. But... meh... life goes on...
Try this for a starter

Jangle, to improve your pics, you should use the colour to focus more on something, rather than being random.

The difference between that guy and Jangle....

1) he says he's learning and he's open to advice

2) he TAKES the advice, he's polite

3) he learns from what people say and keeps trying

Now look at the images further down, look how quickly he improved a LOT, simply because he was polite, wanted to learn and made an effort.

I dont' know who to congratulate, the person who pressed the filter menu item, or the program for doing the actual work

The difference between that guy and Jangle is that people tried to help him, instead of taking the pictures as some kind of attempt to offend them.

and i said it wasnt JUST filters, i never said i didnt use them.

also, i personally thought that the effect made the picture seem more dramatic, the first one looks kinda like the style of Edvard Munch.. but hey, i suck at life, don't i?

Oh and jangle don't be too put down by all this... it's just well.. not the first time we see filters... why dont you go ahead and show us some banners or somethin(in a new thread to avoid mixing things up i suggest)... You'd be suprised how open minded we are.. it's just that well... we have seen a LOT of filter images made in 2 seconds, and they really just take up space for no reason whatsoever.

i have to say the effect done on the images is interesting but it does lack "oopmh"

If u r like me and have a screen of every-single thing in hl2 that happens ( nearly) then u should roll thru it all find the one that means the most to you.
Do that effect to the image and use the effect to portray the feeling you get when u look at the picture
