Sooooooo...... do you think Havok people will be mad? Or was that part of the code not released. Let's hope they don't try to sue Valve :hmph:

Max Payne 2 will be out in a week, and that uses Havok 2.0....I'm guessing it wouldn't be too hard to decompile from that or the various Havok demos floating around the web. Hopefully they won't get too pissed.

Yes the physics are part of what was released I played the "beta" (I use the word beta loosely, since everybody is calling it something else) and they are very much part of the game. I think it gives it a nice touch the blood decals or bullet wounds also look very nice. The new graphics give it a new spooky feel that the first one didnt have. I love it
Can't wait until the real one is released

I would think a company that specializes in making physics engines would be pretty pissed about any of their code being made public.

However I'm not if any/how much was included in the HL2 Source leak.

I mean that agreement that they had where they agreed not to release it, and since it wasn't under their control etc etc etc blah blah.

Yeah max payne2 will be out in about 2 weeks I can't wait

Nah, one week from today. Even better! I honestly went from no hype to full hype about MP2 based on 2 movie packs and a preview.

:O! Off topic! BURN HIM!. Heh, thanks :cheese:. Live show was great. Anywayyyyyy, a lawsuit sure wouldn't help the delay  (I had to say somethin to get back on topic)

I don't think lawsuits will be a problem. I think that something would have gotten out about it by now. It probably cost Valve some more money but I suppose thats preferable to them getting sued out of business.
