help at nova prospect

Im just within the courtyard walls and there are 2 gunships to take down. Do you have to take them down before entering the prison coz i cant find an entrance in.

theres a rocket box at the top of the stairs.

you go past the 3 towers, up some stairs, past and office, to a big crate, theres a box of rockets there if you wanna take down the gunships. if you carry on around here to thr right...walk down and theres an office with combines in, kill them, and on your left is a hole with fire in it, this is your entrance you are looking for.

I cant seem to locate the hole. any help plz.

post a screenshot of where you are with f5 and it'll be in your screenshots folder in Halflife2 in your steamapps, steam folder, and host it on imageshack or something in case you didnt know how. Then we can help more. Or if you can describe something distinctively.

okay thats the second office i was talking about, isnt there a hole back a bit to the left...theres fire in it and stuff. Im almost certain, its in a wall somewhere...im going to bed, hopefully someone else can help ( or pm tmrw)

Take out the ships first and perhaps they blow a hole in the wall or something, good luck :thumbs:

yeah, i don't recall seeing this whole prior to taking out the gunships. where the rocket ammo is, there is also a large metal dumpster type thing. use that to play hide and seek with the ships, it provides good cover so long as you keep moving around it.
once the ships are taken out, then you're free to explore and find the entrance to the next area.

ok ill take the ships out first. Any tips on hitting the targets? i miss a lot.

I believe there is a giant fuel tank, close to the rocket ammo box, that explodes when you take out the second gunship.

Edit: Once you fire the missile keep the laser dot pointed at the ship, preferably the back of it where the rotar blade is. I used the office at the top of the stairs to hide, if you keep below the windows they can't really hit you. Throw the bug bait thing to send the ant-lions off and distract the ships a bit when you have to make a break to restock on ammo.

If you HOLD DOWN left click the rocket will follow your mouse , so aim AWAY from the gunship at while you fire(really far away, so they're almost not on the screen) then arc it over at them while still holding left mouse button. This way the gunships have less of a chance of shooting down your rocket. Also they will try and shoot your rocket and not you, so when you have 1 rocket left you can shoot it off, and make it go all over the place so as to distract them while you go the box to restock your ammo.
