Help! The Technomusic mystery!

Looking for a particular piece of techno music. I don't remember who the artist is, or what the title was. I think it came out before Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. Goes something like "dun dun dee dun. dun dun dee dun. dun dun dee dun. dun-dun-dun-dun-dundundundundun." And then it just repeats over and over again. There are no lyrics, and the sound is artifically generated noise.

I think the music video consisted of a puppet bobbing it's head to each sound.

Can anyone help me out?

I'm willing to upload a wav file of my imitation, if that helps.

Honestly, I wold have really surprised if some one recognized it with the info I'm giving thus far.

do you have ITunes? if so you can go to itunes store and you should be able to find it because most songs have 30 second previews. Just search for daft punk

I fear I might have skewed the opinions here by mentioning Daft Punk,. I only mentioned it for a time period reference. I actually don't think it's Daft Punk, but I may be wrong.

Here is my magnificent imitation of a sound machine. Remember, you asked for it.

If you loop it, it's basically exactly like the piece, except without percussion.

I dunno, Neopolitan always used to disappoint me. I always ate the chocolate and strawberry first and so after a while there'd be loads of sorry vanilla on it's own that I just ate out of a sense of duty.
