Ok so my friends and I have decided that we want to make a mod for HL2. We have decided upon making a modern day based mod for this. Here is a brief rundown of the story:
The United States and England are at war with the United Nations. Terrorists are also terrorizing the world.
Gameplay:
The gameplay will be a combination of Counter Strike, Day of Defeat, and Natural Selection. It will have all modern day equipment (including vehicles) and to win your team must capture all the points (flags) on the map like DoD. It is like NS because there is a commander for each team that buys better weapons and vehicles for the team to use. Or we may just have each individual player purchase his own weapons, we have not decided yet. So it would be U.S./England vs. a European country in the game. The twist would be that there would be a 3rd team in the game, the terrorists. Their goal is not to capture the points, but to bomb specific targets in each teams base and inflict as many casulties as possible to both teams. The terrorists would have very limited resources and would have to use hit and run attacks to conserve them.
We think that this mod has great potential, all we need now is a good team to start on it. My friend has a little bit of programming skills, but really we need people for every position. I am kind of like the project manager, and I do the research needed and brainstorming for it.

I realize that this would take lots of time and work to complete, but if I think that we have a dedicated crew we could do it.
