Help!

I'm a dumbass and don't know what to do with the HL2 map packs! How do I install them?

Extract them into ...\Steam\SteamApps\email\half-life 2\hl2\maps

For some reason XP defaulted to Media player for this file type. There's no option to extract...

well. i guess you will just have to wait for Shens to come up with something cuz im a nub when it comes to files.

Can't you use "Open with..." or something? Anyways, thats' why I hate Windows, but I must play HL2!

It's got "Open With" but that doesn't offer and useful programs. I already tried renaming the files with a .zip extension to no avail. It just says "No files to extract".

SIGH....

BUT! I just found a site that offeres the Map Packs in zipped form so I'll see if that works out.

If it is a rar. file (like mine was), then download winrar to extract them to where they need to go. :thumbs:
