Hitchhiker's Guide Trailer! Get it while it's HOT!

Actually the more I think about it, the more Ford seems to suit being black.

Was that little thing with the ball fora head suppsoed to be Marvin? He's supposed to be about 7 foot tall. I just hope he has the voice I imagined.

Still the film looks like its gonna be fun :D

Watch the second trailer, he speaks in it. A bit higher in pitch than I imagined, but pretty much perfect. :D

Did they have to wait till Douglas Adams died until they planned this, or was it approved by him all along?

Ah yes, Marvin's voice...Its alright. I'l have to see though, because he doesn't really fit the bill.

Is it just me or does the music at the end of the trailer sound a lot like the music from Men In Black.

I've heard that there's gonne be 5 movies, one to each book.

That'd be cool if it's true...and if the films are good.

Not true, only one movie is planned, and it isn't strictly based on only the first book either apparently.

However it is using the screenplay Mr Adams wrote....

That doesn't change what I stated. :)

One Why? Is it just the first part, or are they fitting it all in one?

To be honest, I don't know. All I know is that they only planned to make one movie (just like only one series of the TV show was planned), and that elements from the other books might show up in this movie. Although it is mostly based on the first one. just like the radio, TV and book series', as well as the game, the movie is more or less considered seperate from the others. Just because Adams got hooked on writing books, doesn't mean the books are the definate benchmark of the franchise.

Perhaps not, but the books offer such a wealth of entertainment, that ignoring it would be madness.

Crap, can't view it, damn M$ Mediaplayer proprietary P.O.S. :/

Can someone rip it and host it somewhere in some OS-Independent videoformat, plz? ;)

Oh well *sigh*

Dont see why so many people are having trouble, its up on the main site, in both wmv and mov formats.

It looks good, I wont be sold till I hear Marvin talk, right now he looks like an ipod.

Check out the UGO trailer, you hear him.

Sounds great :D

Is Marvin played by Alan Rickman (Dogma's Metatron/Voice of God)? It sure as heck sounds like him.

Can't download the dang UGO trailer, but the original one seems fairly promising. Regardless of my initial reactions, I'm heartened that Adams himself had some degree of involvement in its earlier development- and although it doesn't feel quite right I'll reserve judgement until I've actually seen it, or at least seen the second trailer ;)

Hmm, interesting i wonder who the old guy's torso who walks on the table is? Please tell me it isn't Slartibartfast, could be Hactar maybe.

Theres a bit in the trailer from the 'floating party' from the 4th book, so the film probably goes quite late into them. Do you think it'll cover all the books in one movie?

I know that Adams originally set out to just adapt the first book, but quickly realized that the plot of the first one wasn't exactly great movie material (it has pretty much no resolution or character evolution), so he decided that it would pretty much be a do-over plot wise. That means that its pretty much going off on its own little tangent from the books, while incorporating bits.

I believe it's Humma Kavula, a new character.

Alan Rickman = Marvin? Sweet. I love Alan Rickman, I wanna do ...things with him!.

Now Marvin sounds good, Im happy. Looking forward to this film.

IGN's got that new trailer from UGO up for download now. The "full" option is some seriously hi-res goodness.

Which of the 4 books is this film based on. I just finsihed the first one and when I watched the trailer I noticed A LOT of stuff that wasn't in the version I read. Is both Hitchhikersguide and resturant and the end of the universe.

I think Sam Rockwell is the Perfect guy to play Zaphod, they couldn't have picked a better actor in my mind.

im downloading it now may i ask what the hell the films called
