Everyone reading this forum knows that Half-Life 1 is being released on the Source (Half-Life 2) engine, but only rag doll physics and a few smaller content changes are being made.
Several threads have arisen, with suggestions of how to go about recreating the original like it should have been.
I for one would love to start a modification team that, upon HL1:Source's release start to go about fully overhauling the original single player.
I have past modification experience and work with design documents for modifications and the like. Therefore I know well enough that this project must be taken about very delicately. Half-Life succeeded for what it was, changing that drastically would remove the very elements that made it what it is.
I may throw together a design document, but it would take a lot of time and effort because this is no mere task.
Is anyone interested in helping out? Design, Web Hosting, Programming, Modelling, Skinning, Mapping etc etc?
