Why hello thar!

This is something i vainly attempted to do a while back..last year i think...

Ennui tried to continue/evolve it or whatever with the (failed) DoD Source Machinama

But with TF2 on the horizon and CSS and DoD Source still pretty active with some people (not to mention BF2'ing) i think a move towards some more focused/organised [HL2] Community gaming stuff would be ideal


Who is gonna read this here though, no one goes to this section

I'm with you Evo, I'd love to see a more organized [HL2] CSS/DoD:S/BF2/TF2 clan.

I think Munro mentioned something about getting a TF2 server when it was out in that thread in the TF2 section, apart from that at the moment all we can do is invade a server as all [HL2]

And that only ever seems to happen in BF2 :O
 
Yeah a cross-game clan would be fun, I played in the clan against bf2n and =50k= I think it was (missed out on playing 256 :() but they were a blast.

TFC was always more fun when you knew some of the players there so I hope TF2 is the same if this gets up and running.

Guys with TF2 on the horizon i really think a proper [HL2] clan effort would work!

And can we add CoH to the list? You don't need servers to play that since you can host yourself.
 
Yes indeedy, always good to get some RTS's in there, though i think with the being hl2.net Valve games should be our priority at first

All C&C3 stuff will be handled elsewhere btw :p

TF2 ftw! Really looking forward to that one. Right now I actually don't play any Valve online games except for HL2DM every once in a while.
 
I'd be up for it. But I get bored of games way faster than you guys.

Yeah, kinda the same.

I haven't played BF2 is ages, CSS is getting old and even the omfgwtf factor of CoH is wearing off.

But I'm in.
 
So basically everyone is agreeing we should do something, but nobody really does anything..

Well, honestly, the problem is the nationality. Half are from UK/Europe and half from the US.
 
I'm down for some organized [HL2] games of anything. Loved the =256= BF2 match and the other ones too.

And some are from Australia.

I dont know about us Aussies, probably our location and time difference will prevent us from playing in most events. Which is a shame, as the games that Ive had with you guys, especially with BF2, are great.

I'm in. I can do DoD:S, NS, or TF2 in the future. Count me out for any derivation of CS, unless pwning a mod with tmp is involved. ^^

I still play CSS and 1.6 (moreso the latter) sometimes, and I've been playing some HL2DM recently. But yeah, I can't really find a good game to stick to. That said, TF2 will probably be the next game that I get.

hl2.net Staff vs me and brick wouldn't even stand a chance. I've played Munro, and he uses haxx to try and get the advantage! True story!
 
Is [HL2] tags just for fun? I'm not really a active member but I read the forums everyday, I'll join you guys if that is ok with everyone? Don't want to feel like I'm not welcome.
 
I would be in, but I dont have enough time on my hands with acess to my decent computer to say that I can be there for matches and stuff. However, I am armed with an internet connection so if you need a hand with organising non technical stuff or simply poking people with a sharp stick so they turn up to matches, give me a shout.
 
Not sure if anyone considers me a senior member even though I've been around here for a long ass time, but I'd be more than willing to participate :)

*Edit* Ha, actually I'm the oldest member to post in this thread, so I guess I would be considered the most senior member here right now :P
 
Count me in. Sounds like a pretty good idea, cause I'll be sure to buy EP2 when it comes out.

Edit - That said, I did pwn up in that one game of HL2DM awhile back, despite having 500+ ping. So I'd be up for any friendly matches anyway.

I'd be up for most games, although most likely to join in anything to do with css.

Anyone who didn't know, there was a hl2.net css clan for sometime (of which Dek was once a member of, as was i), although now it has folded and is aiming to become a gaming community. The remaining forums can be found here:

The forum admin is Septih (whom you can usually find somewhere in the music section of hl2.net !!). Maybe you could speak to him and see about a possibility of creating a gaming community there ?

Just a suggestion.
