You guys would need resistance to play online, but its awesome that your up for it! 
I play with a mod called WGL that updates everything (I mean EVERYTHING, AI, effects, scopes, weapons, adds rucksacks, and a whole load of missions on different islands.)
I play with a group called ShackTac and on their server they use the WGL pack.
