HL2 Expansions

Ok considering that OP4 and Blueshift let you play as different characters, which characters in HL2 would you want to play as in the future expansions?

For me definatly a combine soldier. And i think Valve just might do it.

I'd love to play as a Combine trooper or even a resistance fighter... maybe even Shepherd. But I would not like to see expansion packs where you can play as major characters: it wouldn't feel right to play as Calhoun or Alyx since they'd suddenly lose all powers of speech. If Gordon interacts with them, its just not right to play as them in my book...

I feel ya on that one. Because it wouldnt fit with the story at all. You be avoiding them basically because valve wouldnt let us see gordon ingame. i hope not atleast.

Taking this idea and running with it a little. If done correctly, they could do a kind of Alien VS Predator theme where you get to play different races.

1) Random Resistance fighter
2) Combine Soldier
3) Vortigaunt
4) Headcrab (able to attach and detach at will to control different bodies)
5) Metro-cop

And so on and so-forth...

If we see shepard, I want it to be fighting on some other front, dealing with some other problem. Also we never know, we might encounter him in HL2, though i dobut it.

I think that its pretty obvious that Alyx and Barney have been active during Gorden's criofreezing, and if they do expansions I would like to follow them throught that timeperiod.

I think it would be cool to play as a Combine. I love it in Op4 how you see like Gordon doing stuff. Like that part where Sheppard walks into the chamber just as Gordon jumps in. Its soo cool
