no doubt, after playing and beating them both, they both got the clifhanger endings, but halo2s ending just made me so mad, just when u think a awesome part if gonna come and ur gonna play that level that we all wanted to play that we saw in the e3 demo, boom credits role, at least when hl2 ended i knew it was the ending they didnt just throw it at me and say HAHA u dont get to play this level bitch!

damn i really hate fan boys... i bought halo 2 (hl2 is on the hold for me, no money to buy it ;( ) and i tell you, for a person who is completely bored of fps, halo 2 is easily one of the best single player experiences i have ever lived!! the only downsides i could find in the damn game was the end (cough) and it was really damn short... i like to face halo 2 like the adrenaline injection i've been needing for years now... enjoy halo 2 as one of the best games of the moment, not has the game that is best/worse than hl2!!!
PS- i also have to admit i was a little disapointed that the e3 demo wasn't there...but the rest of the game easily compensates this fact...

I'm not a fanboy. I never bought HL1 (although I will be soon). I just hate it when I hear people saying "Halo rocks your ass! Best game evar." When in truth, it's utter crapped when pitted against a true FPS on the PC. I'm not pro-Half life, I'm Anti-Halo.

Gamerankings is obviously a massive load of bollox.
Think about all the great video games we've had over the years - and see how many of them are in the rankings :/

well gamerankings.com is just a compilation of a very large number of game review websites and magazines... so what you see there more or less boils down to "what's generally popular with the critics". The results can get kind of weird though because certain games weren't reviewed by as many publications as others and that can really throw off the balance. It's a neat site to look at though... the other cool one that's kind of like that is metacritic.com Last time I looked at metacritic they had hl2 as the #1 pc game and hl1 as the #2 pc game... seems dead on to me
