I can't really can't see us getting along together after reading some of there posts, it would be nice to have there Info merged with the info on this website but a forum merger wouldn't be too nice.

I think you should just leave it the way it is.

If we merge there will be more changes than many will realise.. The fans currently have a choice, one site or another, depending what they prefer.. If the two merge then what choice do you the fans have then? You can't go make your own site, how would it compete with something so big, your only real choice would be hl2world and that site is bound to die off soon anyway. You'd simply be left with one site, one set of rules, no variation. You get banned from that one site and your stuck, where you gonna go then, there wont be any other sites around.

You the fans will suffer from a merger, whatever your told it will be you that suffer. Many of you hate that Microsoft control what you use. A single large HL2 site will be just as bad.. the two identities will be lost and you'll either have to make do with it or do without.. Atleast now you have a choice, if you don't like the rules of one, you can go to the other. You'll lose that if we merge.

i think Fenric summarized it nicely... this place is great the way it is right now... who knows what changes will bring.. but why fix something that ain't broke?...

i like Fenric's Microsoft example.. its a very telling thing about what can happen.. i think HL2.net staff can worry about stuff like this if the site starts suffering (ie. no/less visitors etc..) and consider other changes as well... but for now there is no need for a change..

HL2.net has its own unique image... that is what every site strives for and right now this site is achieving that. Please don't change that.. :x

Thank god, no merger! I dont't think it will ever be possible to merge with Central, as both sides have made some rather harsh criticisms. Atleast it's over.

I think it would be a good idea, the entire idea of having ONE main place to go is always better IMO (more content, generally higher quality content), except I feel similar to Six Three about how the majority of hl2c posters are... well.... slow.
