I feel so bad for my inability to meet up with Shamrock. He's here for the summer SO close to me... and I'm being such a total douche and being too scared to meet with him and do something.

I feel the same way sometimes but you just have to bury that feeling.

It's almost like when you go to the pool and you know it's going to be a really cold shock, but if you just get the nerve to jump in, the shit will be awesome. Just stop standing on the edge holding yourself back for a minute, and you'll be glad you did.

I mean, I know you weren't asking for advice, but I'm telling you, you aren't the only one. Just remember, hanging out is like riding a bike. I'll bet you are cool as hell to hang out with when you are out and about.

You don't have to talk more than 'whatsup' and a nod to experience what it means to hang out. They'll then ask you what you are up to or something. Pretty easy stuff.

Why do you have to be interesting? Who cares. Stand around and do whatever it is you guys do. Stand on the front porch in the sun and stare out into the distance. Go walk around wal-mart buying snacks and making fun of playstations.

Exactly. This sort of thing might materialize next summer or the summer after. Basically the East Coast HL2.net Get Drunk And Eat-A-Thon. Who else would be interested to drive 2-8 hours to camp out with a bunch of HL2.net good ol' boys?

Ennui, I'd be so down. I live about 2 hours from VA, so that is a definite yes.

****ing HL2.net has been the past... 4 years for me. Haha. However, we're only allowed to call each other by our forum names. :D

I'm actually pretty new to this forum, even though I joined in march. I spend at least 60% of all time spent on the computer, on this site. The other 40% is myspace, youtube, and AIM. Once I get a good PC though, I will be on games most of the time. I've done this with every forum I've been to. This site seems like a great forum with long lasting members, based on this thread. I am diffidently gonna be viewing, and posting in threads here for at least 2 years.
 
I almost think I'm done... I'll stick it out another few months for the retirement plan.

Bvgasm's death really put it in to perspective for a lot of us. Some day, Willie and I are taking a worldtrip and accumulating hl2netters. We may go to Heart Attack Grill.

If we ever had a HL2.net reunion, I'd do the whole Scott Evil thing like in Austin Powers and be all like, "I hate you! I HATE YOU ALL!!!!"

then run off and cry.
