HL2.net rank

I only want to see more lenience with custom titles. What's the big deal? To be honest posting on forums for almost a year and still retaining the titles you give us has gotta make you feel atleast a little silly...

Yeah, we really need new ranks, people are really starting to get a higher post count, there are already alot of people over 2k, not to mention 1.5k.

Heheh, I should remind you (us), I mean before a mod does, the 10 character minimum is there for a reason... you (we :P) should think about that in the future...

why is that?


people spamming to reach 2000(or whatever it is) posts to get a custom title??
 
Ok Custom titles.. firstly everyone is going to want one. People will put what they think is cool as their titles eg: 1337 ha><0r or some crap like that. Titles will be changed all the time and become confusing, certain people are bound to try make it look like they are members of staff. Members of staff will become harder to recognise. the IRC channel operators for example don't have the Orange title. And yeah, if your given a custom title at 2000 posts, people will spam.

It's just a really really bad idea and it will be abused. Whatever anyone says. Hell even the staff abuse custom titles so imagine what 13 thousand users would do :D
 
Yeah I agree with fenric, no custom titles, they are bad. But you should update the current ones, and NOT post how many posts you need to get title x.
 
Yeah the not posting how many you need is a good idea, even though if you do that and then change them, people might spam just to find out what they are.

Custom Titles should be available at about 2.000-3.000 or something like that.

The highest rank should be Valve Employee :P
 
I think as somone mentioned earlier there are plenty of HL monsters that can be added in near the front.

I don't think the gunship should be above Strider, Striders are just so much cooler.
