HL2Central says CS:S leaked!

I swear to god I hope that ain't true...

Cliffe if it is true, let me say for all people at HL2.net that we won't download/spread it (file SHARE) or do any such thing, and if it is true, I hope the people get caught fast!!! We are on your side, and are on yours and VALVe's and the entire team's side!

I hope this doesn't delay CS:S or HL2!!!!

BTW I haven't seen any evidence that it is true, but he says that it is, and the way he describes it sounds like it is.

It was leaked with Halflife 2, you know, last year.

I heard that apparently in the hl2 leak from last year there was an early version of CS:Source. This could simply be an updated version of that. If its true of course

I wouldn't be surprised if it is actually someone using the previously stolen build of HL2 to create their own version of HL:S and then hl2central mistook it for an actual leak. However I don't really know anything, we'll just have to wait and see.
 
But I thought that in the leak it was only just a folder for CS:S and not any game content or play anything?

I need official word.

I hope its fake as much as you guys.
 
The actual game suffered enough changes since its early stages to prevent an early leak from having any influence on it, cheating-wise.
 
Well that's today's news, but hopefully is a leak version that was... err... leaked a long time ago.

I dont think valve would delay this game any more , coz it would just kill its reviews and customers
 
By the sounds of it it really wouldn't matter about this since it apparently needs the original stolen version of HL2 to work, and if it needs that then it must be using old code that is already out of date. So really it can't be anything new.

Nothing to worry about IMO.
 
CS who cares, for me never release it.

I'd relax guys. On the news post it says that the CS:Source isn't nearly as finished as Valve has said, but after seeing all those video's of it i think its pretty clear that this is a much younger version of CS:Source.

Err... the HL2 leak wasn't the cause of the one year delay.
 
Sparta: Well last I heard, only final models are two player models, and two weapons. So the "source" on HL2C might have thought they had like everything done.

*edit* Liam: It of course wasn't the cause of the entire year, but probably some of it. They had to get the warez and assess what was stolen and such. Probably took time off to do it, thus delay.... Get back to the topic at hand though.
 
Well a while ago, a bunch of mappers compiled maps for the HL2 leak and sent it out to the warez community. Isn't it entirely possible that this could be an update by the hackers?
 
Yes possible, like I said in the original post, I know only by what I read and you guys here at HL2.net know a lot when this stuff happens usually.

*edit* heh yea we could be screwed.... I hope/wish/dream not however, and at this stage I think we are safe as it hasnt hit an ed2k site, or a torrent site... two of the most popular at that.
 
Please, let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

I highly doubt this is accurate news, as in CS:S has not been recently leaked. We'll all be fine. The sun will rise once again in the morning.

I'm pretty sure that if anything, its just an update. It happened with the HL2 leak and the Doom 3 leak.
 
I know some people over at - H L 2 W O R L D . C O M - have been trying to get the CS port from the leaked stolen build working. So I'm guessing there's no second leak, and it's probably just them.
 
CS:S was leaked with HL2 last year, it was some models and I think 1 level worked, can't remember if I tried or not.

They missed there deadline anyway, so leak or no leak, there would of been a one year delay.

On the subject of this supposed new leak, three days ago a file named "Half-Life 2 Beta CS Port w/Fixes" (Probably what they are referring to) was released, which I'm pretty sure is just extracted, re-compiled, really dodgy old stuff from the 2K3 leak.

Nothing to worry about or even bother downloading I would imagine.
 
Even if it is a new leak, I don't think Valve would delay another full year, they would loose a lot of fans and they can't afford that.

I haven't seen that file, or at least it has alluded me on shareconnector and suprnova.... So it obviously isn't big yet or no word of mouth...

No need to get so anal about a pc game.

Guys, guys, guys.. There's really no reason to worry about this shit, go outside and smell the roses or start eatin out some pussy or get laid. Soon as that happens you'll realise that hell, **** the leaks and that just wait it out and Valve will release it eventaully. Just let them do their job and it will get released.
