HL2Central says CS:S leaked!

I was just over at one of the more infamous HL2 sites that promotes the use of the stolen version for editing and it sounds like this is not a new leak, its just the ported version that they have gotten working. Nothing new, nothing special.

I would tend to agree with this. ;)
 
I'm going to go with the general consensus that this is just a re-release of the CS:S port that was stolen along with HL2.

frankly...this leak stuff is starting to get real old now... and im not just talking about HL2 or CS:Source.. im talking generally with all these games being leaked and whatnot.

haven't once downloaded a leaked build.. and it won't change now.. i just hope more pple take a tougher stand this issue. :angry:

Ask him if the map he was shown was piranesi.
That should satisfy my and most everyone's needs, as that was the only map that was released in the CS:S port that was stolen last October..
 
No sign of it on ircspy, so it wasn't leaked (usaully if something is leaked and handed out it hits IRC fast and first). And i thought this was brought up and answered awhile ago? Hmmmm.... Nope no leakage. Go back as you were, antisipating HL2 release.
 
the site posting the assumed leak news, well it say that the csssource leak required the hl2beta leak to run it, which concludes to me is that its was stolen at the same time as the hl2beta last year, and they only relesed hl2beta, and could not get css to work, and have been working on it to get it to work, and now they have, they have released it with some of the files of the orginal leak hl2beta, and further more, Vavle could not be hacked, as they have a new secrurity code, and precutions and step made, the development computers are now offline, anyone who uses the net at valve use a computer that has no hl2 data or css data on it, Valve found keeping the development computers off the internet, save them from been hacked, even ID Software have take that precuction
 
Arc.. the development computers were never online. They were hacked through an off-site computer that they were unaware of that was on their LAN.

As for CS:S never working when HL2 was stolen, that's completely untrue. That's all I have to say about the matter. This does appear to be nothing more than the rehashed, old, useless port though.

Nope. AFAIK, piranesi was the only map in what was stolen. If anyone wants to clarify this (ie. disprove it), and set my mind at ease, feel free :)
 
Who cares if it was leaked? They're fixing to release a massive public beta test of a near-final copy of the game, if someone wants to play a nearly unplayable version of a multiplayer only game by themselves then let them. To leak CS:Source now is about like leaking a pre-alpha version of Half-Life 1.
 
..I'd like to play a pre-alpha version of HL1. It'd be pretty entertaining :) lol

Heh it would be very interesting to see if VALVe will release their tech demos and all of the old HL1 content in the far future :)

You can go on the net and download like every build of the original Doom out there. From the very first tech demo (which you couldn't have stairs or height differences) to what we play today :)
 
According to Rick Ellis (I believe), the "original" HL was floating around on the internet about a year ago.. I couldn't find it, sadly :(
 
Lousy damn hax0rz. I knew something bad was going to happen, July 28th is only a week away, why cant they just wait for Valve to release the goddamn beta officaly?
 
I'd love to play a pre-alpha HL1. From the pics it really shows how valuable a delay can be!
 
i swear to god, i hope this rumor is true. it's our only chance to play CS:S cuase this game is never ever going to be released, lol.

lol yeah, I mean, the preloading (for the beta) is about a week away.. but, that's ONLY the preload. It'll never be unlocked :(
 
I have personally my self seen the CS port and the HL port played on he hl2 leaked beta thingy, not proud of it but if its just that old cs port that i saw, we have absolutly nothing to worry about.

by the way the hl port looked preety cool. :afro: :afro:
 
Hmm out of curiosity I just want to know how the HL1 port looked "cool"...

VALVe already stated that it is really just the Half-Life you play now, run on the Source Engine instead of the old Quake Engine. It's NOT getting the full treatment that CS is getting by any means, as that would take like an entire new development team of 10-20 people to bring HL1 up to HL2's par.....

But hey if you just mean HL1 on Source is cool ;) woot
 
yeah it was leaked back in 2003. its just counterstrike ported to source with 1 map piranesi. there wasnt any other maps and there wasnt any bot support or anything so theres nothing to do with it except start a game and walk around the map and see how they changed it in source to make the angles smoother. thats it. calm down there people theres no new leak.
 
Lets all hope that this is claim is bogus. I hope it is.
