This is why I don't visit the forums so much now. I heard about it then I read the title, then instantly paused it. Each and every day this forum is turning into 4chan. Started with the image dump of "mchammer75040" posting a pic of a starving kid in Africa then a pic of the WTC on fire. This forum started out really good with great news and the best info on HL2. Then it got funny. Then it turned into this. Good job for ruining my stay here since 2003 people! Lurked here in '03 anyways. Mods don't give a flying **** neither if it went on for 4 pages. *In fact I'm pretty much ashamed of calling myself a HL2'netter now because the site has hit such a new low.
 
To the people complaining about the lack of a description here, just read the fracking description on the site. There is ample time.
 
Meh screw you guys. You think you can get away with it by basically throwing in a "NSFW" or something. It is what it is and you know it. You really have to be pathetic to justify this thread or what has been happening on this forum. That's what you guys say each time as well. Person blows out their brains? It's ok cause I said NSFW. Person got raped? It's ok too so as long as I put in that NSFW. Where will it stop when the mods put their foot down and the community members see where they went wrong?
 
Yeah, theres a "report post" button for a reason. (Top right with the exclamation mark).

Hl2.net isn't becoming like 4chan, there are just certain threads that I know are posted just to try and push the boundaries here. This thread will get locked once a mod sees it, and the videos will be removed. Kerberos i think posted a video of someone getting murdered in the Politics forum, and that was removed.

We just have a few members who have terrible judgment.

that's probably his bowels emptying themselves ..extreme trauma (like turning the inside of your skull into goo) tends to do that to a body. He's lying naked in a pool of his own urine/excrement/blood ..and he recorded it so that we can all gape and point in amazement at the last pathetic moments of a disturbed person's life ..we're all willing spectators of the macabre, indulging in a sick voyerism detached from reality by a digital screen and not enough sense to understand the significance of the act we've just witnessed

oh shut up. honestly. This is the reality of the world. I didn't post this video for ha ha's, or for "OMG LOOK AT THIS COOL VID GUYZ LOL"...NO. I posted it because i want people to see what the reality of the world is.

This has been on TV, so before you start crying, take a moment, take a deep breath, and think about what you're going to say before making a complete moron of yourself.

Akira, you're retarded. There is a reason there is a rule against videos or content like this, and thats because people dont want to see it. If you think you're more macho than others because you saw that video, then you need to get the hell out. If you think you understand the "real world" better because you watch these videos, then you need to get the hell out.

This is the internet, there are plenty of easy to find places to find these videos if someone wanted to see them. But the fact of the matter is, they're not allowed on this site, and you know that. You know damn well why you posted this video, and why you didnt post any information so people could avoid it. So kindly stfu with your macho bullshit, and take your shitty videos elsewhere.

It's not like i search for these videos because i like to see people die, it was on the front page of spikedhumor.com, a site that i know a lot of ppl here at hl2.net visit.

The fact of the matter is, there is PLENTY of warnings and buffer time between the moment someone see's this thread and the moment they see the guy shoot himself. If you have a problem with this then DON'T WATCH IT. If the mods have a problem with it, then THEY CAN DELETE IT, and deal with me. I'm sorry, but I didn't read the rules before I posted, but the majority of the people replying to this thread didn't make a huge deal about it, only 2-3 people.

So, krynn, again, take a moment, and think about what you;re going to say cuz you really made an ass of yourself. I actually respected you on these forums but now I see you're just a jackass.

You want the reality of the world? You go straight into the military where you can see it all for free and you can even be the director yourself. I know it was on tv and people shudder when they remember what they saw. People like you are pretty sick mentally. ok, first off, i'd actually just like to apologize to you for 2 reasons: a) sorry for the video i posted, didn't know it'd strike a nerve and b) sorry for calling you a wuss and stuff.

But, again, there was so much time for you to exit the video before the suicide. I didn't actively seek it out. Actively seeking it out would be my first intention was to go looking for suicide videos. It was on the front page of spikedhumor.com...and it was shear curiousness. I am a very curious person and will open up any unusual video titles on a video site just to see what it is, if it's fake, etc..

It doesnt matter if there was time in the video before the actual shot. The video loads up instantly for those who have decent bandwidth (like myself), so I just start watching the video instead of reading the description. Besides, some people dont read descriptions anyways, because most sites spoil funny videos by describing it beforehand. So thats a terrible excuse for not giving any sort of hint at what the video is about when you link us to it.

Also, you were being "machco" when you started acting all tough saying "before you start crying" or telling people they're morons for not liking how you posted the video, or telling someone there are "tissues to your left." That talk is what makes you the overly macho ****** you are.

I dont give a damn if I lost your respect or made myself look like a jackass (lolwut?). Fact is that you violated the rules and posted a terrible video and essentially tricked everyone into watching it. Your apology to hool is a step in the right direction, but me and several other people would appreciate it if you would edit your OP and, if not delete the link, then at least put some kind of warning so people dont get suckered into watching a video where a guy offs himself.

i will edit the op, but in no way was i tricking anyone into watching this video. If they don't bother reading descriptions then hell, that's their problem, i can't be blamed for that. And stop acting like i posted this video to deliberately offend people. I have seen some pretty crazy things posted on hl2.net before so I didn't think this was going to cause this much chaos, even though like 3 out of all the people who posted in this thread had a problem with it.
 
It doesn't matter if there was sufficient warning after opening the page. That shit isn't okay on HL2.net. Period.

Where have the mods been lately? People are getting away with posting ridiculous shit lately that isn't even close to being in compliance with the rules. Back in the day, you'd get banned if you posted some boobs or if you had more than one account registered. Now it's totally okay to show people killing themselves if you tag it with an NSFW?

This board is starting to suck.
 
I have to side with Akira about the people not reading the description in huge effing letters, but I also disagree with the lack of identification in the thread, because you have to think about the people who are too lazy to look and scroll and find things out.

Arguing is pointless, people, in order to avoid this in the future, read descriptions, and post more info in your topics.

Ah well, all the revolvers here are .22, especially if they're long-barrelled. No magnums here, it goes straight from .22 to .45 or 9mm, and the police use .22 only.

And I meant that there was no blood spray or gibs. But I suppose that's beside the point. :/


Anyway, I really question the approperiatness of this thread, but since they haven't closed it yet, I suppose it doesn't matter. Or the mods are lazy.

Meh, only one that bothered me was the 1st one. Budd Dwyer's career and life was ruined. The other 2 were a stalker and a guy who shot a cop.
