Or more specifically, what does a 25mb data plan do? You can view 25mb of content at one time? :S

Looking at the Samsung Rogue, looks very nice.

Data plans suck ass. They basically give you a tiny amount of data you can download for free, and then charge you into bankruptcy for the bandwidth you use up after you spent it. Try and get a flat fee subscription.

So if I don't download anything, will it affect the plan? I just want it so I can get on Facebook. 25mb for 10$/mo. lol.

data goes fast; on my iphone I have received 2.4GB of data since my last full charge.

They give you 25mb for $10 then every mb you go over they'll probably charge you like $0.05 or something. But just think how small that 25mb is, on my facebook page there's about 150kb worth of images, not counting the text/data itself, let's say 200kb, so just visiting the homepage once you've already used 0.78% of your monthly plan. (Hope I did that math right)

Wow. So every image you view will add up until you reach 25mb? Might as well tape my phone to my ipod touch and get like 10x more features for free. lol. I think unlimited data is 30$.

...

I didn't know mods can say "Ass"

Anyway, just buy the whole damn thing. AT&T charges me $35 for unlimited internet: DL, UL, Txt, etc. They're right: Once you run out of plan they will screw you hurts.

Nope, its usually $0.05 per kb, not mb. You get anally raped by overage fees. If you do any internet crap on your phone, you best get an unlimited plan because you will go over it. And the phone company counts on it. 35megabytes sounds like a lot to your average joe, so they get charged dickloads for not knowing.

o yes the sneaky "unlimited" data plan, just cant go over 5gb usage a month kids.....or somebody is getting an extra charge.

You're with verizon Im guessing? I was too for the last 2 years and my contract jsut ended. I was set on getting the rouge too, looks like an awesome phone. But the $10 a month for 25mb a month is absolutely insane and they require you get it for 2 years to get the phone at a discount.

So to answer your question that 25MB limit isn't for one file, its for the whole month. And if you go over it expect to be analy raped by verizon. And 25MB is nothing, for facebook I would guess you can count on 100kB each time you open it. That's about 250 page views a month.

If you aren't set on verizon I decided to go with t-mobile. With verizon to get hooked up with a smart phone plan it would be almost 100 bucks since I need unlimited texting, screw that. My sister had a blackberry 8800 she wasn't using from t-mobile and I can get the unlimited data and text plan with 500 minutes for $65 a month. This will let you download as much stuff as you want without having to worry about fees. And $65 for a blackberry plan with unlimited data and texting is a steal.

Since I've got a Blackberry, I've gotta have a data plan, and I went with the unlimited...I hardly use it anyway.

I'm worried about not using it too, but thats whats nice about being able to do it with no contract as in my case.
