true. i have to wait till my exams are over to get halo2... cant wait :) its the reason i bought an Xbox :p

I'm not a Halo 2 fanboy, but there is not going to be a PC version

They gave Halo 1 a PC version just because it was originally intended for the PC, but there definitly not making a PC version of Halo 2.
Microsoft isn't that stupid
Why give your bestselling, most highly anticipated game which pretty much sold Xboxes on it's own a PC version?
If they did it would be a very dumb marketing move for MS

o yer it sure is...
selling yet MORE copies to the PC gamers who want Halo 2 is a real bad move. yep bad microsoft! how dare you think about selling the game on the PC even though many people want it?!

i didnt double post like a noob.... nope.. err *shifty eyes*

Hmmm...while I understand your point of view, Brodie, I feel Microsoft will cave and port it to the PC. Any sensible person would not dare buy a full console system just for one game. Whoever does, well, is kind of dumb. That's basically paying $200 or so to play one game. Sure you can buy more games for the console, but still.

Halo came to the PC, so I don't see why in the world Microsoft wouldn't do the same for 2, unless the original sold poorly for the PC, but I sure chipped in. :D

I've bought various consoles or gfx cards for just one game.

A great game is worth 10 'good' ones imo.

(200 pounds for an Xbox and Halo was well worth it for the 100's of hours of multiplayer and co-op it's provided :) .... all the other good Xbox games since have been a nice bonus)

It was actually originally going to be on MAC. Look it up somewhere , i dont remember exactly where i read it but i can trust the source. I kinda hope it will be on PC so i can play it. All console FPS games seem really slow paced for me, and the way Halo2's textures go back and forth between LOD levels just makes me sick.

Well yes, but it was also a PC game at exactly the same time. Hence most people remember it as a PC game. Mac Exclusivity is what people term "commercial suicide"...

The PC port of Halo 1 wasn't up to much... the system requirements were astronomical for a game that hasn't aged well. I reckon there will be a PC port of Halo 2. The PC and X-Box markets don't really overlap as much, and I understand that Halo 1 sold pretty well... it's all a matter of who is going to port it though: Bungie will probably move on to develop something else, and they'll try to outsource it. Mind you, porting what has turned out to be one of the biggest games releases of all time would probably be worth the effort on the part of any third-party....
