How do you know? I'm sure its quite simple to read other user's PMs if you have access to the mySQL or whatever all that forums stuff is. Just a bit of coding.

I wonder how "private" PMs really are...

65, and I've completely cleaned it out due to maximum about ten times... I've probably had over 500 PMs here all together due to various projects as well as normal correspondence... oh also there were a bunch from my president of the universe campaign :P
 
3...i deleted them all a few days ago, it was necessary...that is all.

How does one "break into" a server?

If you have access to certain bits of the coding of this website, I'm sure it is possible to make something that allows you to view PMs.
 
yes but the pms are stored on the server ..if I'm not mistaken ..so you'd have to access it in order to see it
 
Well, I'll admit this is much different, but when I had a forum of my own, the guy who owned the server gave me access to pretty much everything, and I could view just about everything that the forum dealt with. I'm sure that our uber-haxxor admin friends can find a way. :)
 
I don't really send PMs anyway, well not after I found out that with at least other forum software, the admin can read users pms... I'm not sure if they can with VB though, since it's so well used.

Yep, it's called the "Read PMs" button in the admin CP that appeared mysteriously a while ago, and I refuse to use on principle. It's not as difficult as you think, honestly.

I do not link people to roms or magazine scans of lets say... Sin Episodes in my PM's. No siree!

I have 43 messages stored. 22 are people sending me some and I've sent 21 back.
 
Don't read mine, it has top secret ideas about how to re-take the earth from the aliens, and I don't want the aliens knowing.
