i make 8, at mcdonalds. some weeks i get OT. it rocks. i also agree with your quote alot, wraith. you said it well.

in south florida, minimum wage has been $5.15 for like 7 or 8 years now, starting next year itll be $6.15, i make 7 an hour which isnt much at all, but im trying to be a nurse and hopefully thatll make me worth something.

i earn 10 dollars when it's converted, but less than that because they take tax off me, which i havent claimed back yet. whoops.

7.26, a dime above our states minimum wage (approximately)

least I've ever made was $5.25/hr ..most I've ever made is $40/hr

$8.50 USD/hr

I have a do-nothing job too :p I feel like Peter Gibbons just spacing out in front of the computer for extended periods of time.

I'm currently a student assistant in my university's Vascular Imaging Lab, and the salary is $12.00 per hour.

I also interned at Microsoft over the summer, and they pay starting interns approximately $22.50 an hour (although the pay is strictly "salary" based, meaning you are paid the same regardless of how much you work - the hourly wage is averaged for 40 hours per week).

hehe, stop bithing, Mexicans get paid, 7 bucks a day.

I make $552 every 2 weeks. It's good to be on my dad's company's payroll. :) (I think that works out to about $7.50 an hour)

At one of my jobs I make $5.15, at another I make $6.25, and at my third job I make $7.50

because most people on here are teenagers with casual jobs.

i myself make about $10.50, which is considered pretty good for my job/age :X

I make more than 11, but thats AUD, so yeah...

45p sterling an hour , sittin on my phat ass doing nuthing but playing halflife2

I get paid by bundle. I'm a roofer for my dads company. It depends on the pitch of the roof. Steeper the roof, more money I get. On your typical average 6/12 pitch roof, about $11 a bundle. When you consider that if you give her like hell you can pound on 40 bundles a day, that's about $440 a day, an average day though, 30 bundles by yourself, about $330. Remember, if it's a higher pitched roof, it can get up to around $15 an hour for high pitch 14/12 roofs. To give you an idea, the roof is a bit steeper then the steepness of the forward or backslash on your keyboard. / or \

I've had days where I walked home literally with a $700 cheque in my hand from putting on 50 bundles working 6 am until 6 pm. It's a good job in the summer, come winter I'm poor though. That's the downside of school in the spring fall and winter, and that it snows in the winter so it really slows things down.

I make 10 dollars an hour, 12 dollars if it's after 12AM. I work for Covad DSL, they should give me more money...

£5 an hour :x

Its set to go up though, which is nice. Still its a pretty crappy wage, but its a supermarket so by that standard, its alright. I've made more money doing other things, "freelance" so to speak, but this is just some regular income to keep me level through the rough spots and through the rest of college.

that's a tough job, man your legs must be thick as tree trunks carrying all those loads up ladders

What about salaries? Let's see, I played with the numbers a bit and considering the number of hours I work and the average annual commissions I make, I'm somewhere in the $125-130/hr rate.

It's hard on your legs and back leaning over all day. Most roofs, even the steep ones, we can load with the boom so there's no having to carry bundles up. I've done a new house before though that was a 2 story walkout basement (essentially 3 stories) and the roof was too steep to load. It was a 4 skid grounddrop around back. That's 240 bundles, the house ended up taking 16 more then that. So yes, that meant, by myself, I had to carry up 256 bundles at the back of the house, up basically 3 stories. About 85 pounds a bundle. Because the front the brickies were working. The first and second day of work, all I did was take bundles up, 120 a day  It was pretty bad on me.

I made out well with that house though, the fact it was that steep, and a ground drop, and 260 bundles (average 3 bedroom house is 80 bundles, this thing was huge) I walked away with $11,000 in hand. The reason it was so much money is because I have to carry the bundles up, and when it's 3 stories, that's another $10 added per bundle. Plus driving out there etc, it adds up. Took about a week to do, and it's hardest house I've had to do (lots of valleys and cutting) but was well worth it, I finished it in about a week.

Edit: Did some calculations, at 21 shingles per bundle, times 256 bundles, I put on 5376 shingles. Times that by 4 nails per shingle on average, that's 21,504 nails I put in. I use a nailgun which holds a 100 round clip, so I went through roughly 215 clips

You can think up interesting facts when you do big jobs.

Before anyone asks, yes I've bashed my thumb with my hammer before, and yes I've accidentally shot myself with my nail gun.

$11+ but i bet your $11 will go MUCH further than the £5.50 i'm on. Lets see...£5.50 = pack of 20 cigs, can of coke, gone.

Well you could spend it on something a little better than smokes and coke :)

Well, on average about... ohh..35.00$ an hour.

Gotta love the games industry :D, good money to be made.

I get about $140 in "children’s founding" by the government per month. 30 (days)*24 (hours)= 720.

140/720= $0.194.

But that money are only meant for clothes.
