I've been told by a few "bodybuilding" friends and a few internet sources that it's good for your body to eat different sources of protein (eggs, tuna, soy, etc...) so you can build muscle.
But when it comes to amount, they say it's supposed to be a gram for every pound! That's a lot! Say I weigh 140 pounds. I should eat a whopping 140 grams of protein? I've done some counting and during the day I only eat around ~80 grams. How should I go about this? Should I eat a lot more during the day, or buy some supplements (are they healthy for your body? which ones are good to buy?) Can you suffer from an excess of protein in your body?
