Basically we weren't supposed to say it, but we plan to introduce special Gold Accounts, you know, bigger avatars, ability to post pictures in the Politics forum, more than four lines in sigs... that sort of thing.

Seems like you already know about one feature, so I think the question can be asked: what do you think about it?

Assuming there is some sort of small fee involved it doesn't feel worth it to me, 10 extra pixels isn't much, I've occasionally been annoyed by the subforums that don't allow pictures but not enough to get worked up over it and I think most people are happy with the 4 line limit sig.
I'd be more interested in things like an avatar size of 70x70 or 80x80, custom titles (eg you're "Mr. Cougar"), custom fonts (eg yours is in Italics), non-animated image sigs (say 500x80 in size), you know small things but things that are highly customizable/personalized.

We are still ironing out the creases. One of the biggest issues is to how to distinguish the Gold Account from regulars, should it be a tag or something similiar.

So, it's been agreed on that it'd be a nice idea for a community project - you design a "Gold Account" tag (or come up with a different way to make such an account stand out) and in return, you get to beta test the feature or (quite propably) get such an account permanently, free of charge.

Dude, what the SHIT?! This has got to be a joke. In fact I think I can remember Munro saying that he'd never have Gold accounts on hl2.net You can't possibly in need of money that bad. We hardly have any ads. I'd rather have ads than a ****ing gold subscription.

Sorry, pal, only pounds in England. Unless I get it changed up in an airport or something, but then it's a long drive, and of course it's just alot of hassle without knowing why I should have it. I guess if I was going on a trip, but I haven't travelled to the US so far in my admatibly short life, so I guess maybe one day I will have ten bucks.
