And one student starts to talk about Halo 3 at the behest of Geraldo, how Ahmadinejad is similar to the bad guy of the covenant whatever the **** that is, how Iran is like the alien race and what not. Seriously Geraldo, go die in a fire.

For what a human rights abuser he is this guy is actually very well educated. I had no idea his main profession is as a professor. Anyone that doubts how smart this guy really is needs to watch this speech.

No doubt is his regime evil in so many different ways and the guy that gave the intro proved that very well. But he did point out the hypocracy of our country and of our leaders. We sit here with this smug attitude about how wonderful we are and how terrible they are. The culture might be different, the laws are certainly different, but yet we are similar in so many ways. They are looking out for their self interests and we are looking out for ours. To label them evil and us good is meant to dumb us down, exactly the same thing that happened in the lead up to the Iraq war. Hopefully people will be a little smarter this time around, though seeing the reaction to his invite to the university I am starting to lose hope that we are any smarter than we were in late 2002/early 2003.

I hope to catch the rest of this later today or tomorrow, I suggest all of you watch it.

Iranian gays being killed -- This was obviously a lie because they do not exist!

He knew they had him at the gay issue, that's why he evaded it initially, only to be directly confronted with it again. I think this was the closest anyone go to a straight answer from him; An absurd lie from him.
