It's best to concentrate on the treatment. I wouldn't go on a rampage unless it was certain that no amount of treatment would cure me.

Why dont the website start a donation for this guy so he can get a nice machine and play half life 2...

think about how many people are on these forums.. if everyone donated about $5 we could help him get a nice computer so he can play half life 2..

I got leukaemia a year ago, but here in Australia we get medicine and the like pretty much for free, so i havent had to sell anything thank god

i just hope im still here when HL2 comes out
(in fact, the way things are going, i think anyone of any age, sick or not, should be hoping they're still here when it comes out)

Anyways, hope u get better, and im sure that if u sent ur story to Valve ud get a visit or SOMETHING
 
I live in Canada and I do get free health care plus my moms health plan at work, but the big reason why I had to sell ym computer was because I needed money for a plane ticket to toronto and hotel accomidations plus having to pay for the specialist I saw in toronto.

just an idea, just because you have cancer doesnt mean that you shouldn't be able to play half-life 2 when it's released.

The Make-A-Wish foundation? That could just work. But then again, if every member of this forum gave you $5, you'd get exactly $88140, which I assume is enough for your plane ticket and hotel accomodations ;)

ask VALVe for a copy of HL2 in advance, hoping they would feel sorry for you, and then leak it on the internet!!!!

Good luck, who knows, if you survive this you might get to play HL2 come 2024 when it gets released

wow, just wow. I thought I was hooked to the pc, but this beats them all.

I'm shocked to see how lightly people react to the fact that someone might die from cancer in a couple of months. Even if the poster himself does not like this to be a "feel sorry for" thread, and although this is the internet.

Anyway, to get On Topic, NJD2003 I wish you all the best in this difficult time. Stay positive, but I guess you don't have real difficulties there :) And as others said, make the best of each day, go out and enjoy the things you like. Even if that does not include HL2, sorry....
 
I got a spare motherboard, processor (Athlon XP 1900), graphics card (GF4 MX boo), and 10gb hdd which I can donate to you if you like.. all you'd need is ram, psu and case.

I really hope you have a possibility of getting better :( Seriously sucks man
 
Really, this is really really really sad to hear. Even tough I don't know you, I will be thinking of you when I'm playing Half-Life 2. All my combine kills is for you, and I will pray for you and pray for the scientists, that they can come up with a cure for cancer.

I don't think I can handle to play HL2 now when I know that a guy who I don't know is erm, maybe not going to be able to play it. I will play it for you, the whole community will.

If you haven't lived your life yet, do it now, while you still can.

I need to ask you something mate, how old are you?
 
wow, that's horrible. it can be so hard to convey empathy on a forum, but i just wanted to say i'll say some prayers and be positive. We could definitely donate $5 to a paypal account or something. if everyone donated $5, that would definitely go a long way.

the $5 dollar thing is a good idea... afterall, it's very little, we wont miss it and it all adds up.

My family know one that have Liver Cancer. He had 6 months more to live, that was 10 years ago, and he is more healthier than ever,
