I swear to god, I was coming back from work, and a coworker had a couple of his friends out of my office, waiting for his girlfriend *who also works here* so they could to lunch...well, the two friends, I swear to god, were clones. They were both looking exactly like this guy..

I mean, christ, the glasses, the style of clothes, THE HAIR WAS EVEN THE SAME! It shouldn't piss me off this much, but dear god...get some originality please. Doesn't help I don't like the male coworker, since he threatened my life I guess.

That was the best picture I could find. They were wearing the usual girl pants and metro-sexual shirt. I really REALLY wanted to just be like, "What's with the glasses? Can't wear them unless they are the same kind as every other emo out there?"

But I refrained...sadly.

not being religious I dont have to follow that rule ..emos suck but then so does every other niche group that prides itself as being "different" when they're carbon copies of each other ...anyways it's probably a good idea to judge everyone individually and not make blanket generalizations, that said anyone who embodies any type of stereotype should be horsewhipped



cyberpitz: an emo who threatens physical violence? isnt that an oxymoron? just punch him in the adam's apple the next time you see him ..no warning just walk right up and punch him ..and while he's on the floor you scream at the top of your lungs "If you ever threaten me again, you're dead, your friends! dead!, your family dog, dead! you unborn childrens! dead!!!" and then walk away ...actually on second thought dont take my advice
 
I thought Emo freaks always had that hairdo that comes down over their faces and covers their eyes.

was thinking the same thing, they are more old age buddy holly style emo, sweater vest and cords with square frame glasses etc.

not the dyed swooshy hair, hip hugging black pants and panic at the disco wringer type.

Not that I really give a shit, like stern said, these people should be judged on a personal basis just like anyone else.

Emo are just diluted goths aren't they? AT least, I'd find it difficult to distingiush one or the other... it's black and miserable isn't it?

Nah, my friend is like that but hes not emo. I think its more of a general hair style now.

well i just find emos to be alot whinnier then goths. I know in school i scared alot of people and some even thought i was goth.....I wore blue jeans and t-shirts so where they got goth is beyond me.

but yeah, if you can tell the emo and "scene" thing is finally starting to very slowly die down
 
Meh. I had a good friend who was stereotypically emo (looks wise), but surprisingly a very fun person to be around. I guess I'm sort of not into the whole emo bashing thing. The majority of the people who carry the attitude do get on my nerves, though...

I think people hate it so much because the whole idea of being emo or whatever centers around being extremely selfish, it's always "me me me me me me".

They constantly act as the victim to life, -oh god forbid "your" mother didn't buy you tickets to fallout boy, god forbid "your" girlfriend "you" dated for 3 weeks broke up with "you", "your" not the victim,- they need to shut up and watch the news and they will soon figure out that there are people with real problems that are not being mopey ass bitches about it, yet emo kids contue to be little brats and whine about everything

I agree with that. You simply can't judge a book by its cover, but unfortunately the faddish look is stereotyped. If you don't like a certain person because of their attitude or the way they look(God forbid), then stay away from them. Let them express themselves in their own way. It's called freedom of expression. What did they ever do to you? I'm not here to stick up for them, I just like to look at both sides of the story.

God I hate the stereotypes that are invading the youth culture here. We used to be mostly above this stuff as a nation, we were atleast capable of forming our own fashions that were somewhat unique to us. Now all you see when you go out are ****ing emos and gangstas. I don't remember recently seeing one person above the age of 25 who WASN'T wearing a polo shirt or a ****ing hoodie.

Regardless, my emo hate is not as powerful as my furry hate

I do like goth chicks. Because they are nice people after you get to know them.
