I Hate Nintendo

It doesn't have to do nececairly with the bright and big colors, it has to do with teh themes of the games, they are almost all innocent, simple, cute looking and pretty superficial. And then you have the fact that a lot of people for some reason think violance means maturity, which in some cases it does, I mean life and death are pretty serius themes, but unfortunatly most also think gta, doom or the punisher are mature.

Im not even sure if they make Teen rated games.

EDIT: One of the main reasons Nintendo Lost me as a fan was for the fact that they forced Midway to remove the blood from one of my old favorites; Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat without blood is like ... well its like .. i dont know but it sucks

This restriction to 3rd party companies is even worse than the fact that Nintendo never makes any Mature rated games.

EDIT: I would be even surprized if they made any teen games
(13 years and up) although zelda may constitute a teen since you have to kill monsters.

Come on man, you probably own nearly every nintendo game, look at the box and prove me wrong if you will, or admit you are wrong, it won't kill you to be wrong

I don't mean to be an asshole, but you have no idea how utterly ignorant you sound when you put your fingers to the keyboard. Mature themes do NOT equal good games. Nintendo consistently puts out high-caliber, original, interesting, and fun games, while the masses flock to the yearly sports game or beat-em-up rehash because they're afraid that they'll destroy every shred of their masculinity by playing an 'E'-rated game.

It's kind of sad.

Fair enough. However, you really seem to have something against "kiddy" games. If you'd throw out your distorted and likely unhealthy "kiddy things are bad" preconceptions, and play a Nintendo game with an open mind, you'll find that many Nintendo games are far superior to the more socially-acceptable titles.
