i have a really big problem with run hl2 take a look an that

Ahh that. i can get that too. i think it's when steam isnt running. Run hl2 through steam you should have no problems that way.

Yeah i think that error box comes up when you try to run hl2.exe and there is no steam running. Am not sure, i'll go check it out, but it's pretty simple if it is the same problem as the one i had.

Nope. Sorry man, no luck, my error was similar, it said something about filesystem but it was a different error.

Go to windows update and make sure you OS is up to date. If that doesn't work try reinstalling steam, and downloading HL2 again.

Are you using a non NTFS partition, or any other non standard disks (sofware raid etc)?
