I got this "coupon" thing when I bought oblivion, which allowsed me to download it for free. For those who are curious what you're missing, I thought I might as well fill you in.

There are 2 types of horse armor, elven and iron (or steel, I don't remember). Yes, that's quite a selection! (note heavy sarcasm) The first time it's free & after that it's 500g.

Here are some lovely screenshots.

I might post some of the iron armor later - I haven't even bothered checking it out. (note that I killed the horse soon after to rid it of it's gayness)

hmm is your horse still as slow as fook or god forbid even moreso now? i just run everywhere...

I just bought the horse for the screenshots. I never use horses. The unicorn would have been great (fast, cool looking) except it was also a degranged psychopath & I had to kill it for a shrine.

I'd pay for horse mounted combat (just give me the ability to ram people or fire arrows, anything!) ..definately wouldnt pay for that armor

What card you use Phantom... I'm a real hardcore fan of TES but I fear my fx5600 won't cut it (but note that i played morrowind at 15 FPS at 640 with my gforce2 MX---)

I've got the mod, now how do I get the armor on my horse?

I think the unicorn would die by the time you get the armor or run off, chasing some random person into the wilds, then raping it with the horn...

The unicorn is part of a daedric shrine quest, somewhere east of Anvil or Skingrad, I think.

that elven/elvish armor looks like ass boiled in crap.

anywhoo... anyone have any screens of the IRON horse armor?

Screenie's not taken by me and it's a bit small, but whatever ...

*edit: Who sells the horse armor?

Steel doesn't look to bad. The elvish stuff is pretty ugly... and i usually like the elvish stuff. And seeing as the armor doesn't do anything, it's a waste of money :p

The plate over the neck is really impressive on Steel.

We just know this is leading to a horse melee mod'... :D

They'll add mounted combat in an expension, just you guys wait. I want a proper Jousting tourny in the arena tbfh.

Who do you talk to in order to have the option for horse armor? (I have the 'mod' or whatever you want to call it)

I also have a FX5600. Don't buy the game, it's fast exterior, but slow as shit interior, and that with all the graphics at zero.

Exactly what I was just thinking they should do. Really, if they don't? - fail.

Just cheat and type slp 0010 in the console to have like 100% night vision all the time. It like removes dynamic lighting or something weird. So it may be dark outside but people and buildings are brightly lit-up. It might look a bit strange, but you should be able to get like 50-110 fps inside. At least you can play the game. You don't want to miss this game.

EDIT: actually something I just learned - instead of what I typed above, is if your PC is really struggling you can turn on lite bright. type
tlb
(turn light bright on/off)
into the console and you should be able to run the game at an extreme framerate
All the performance tricks are in this thread:

^ Anyone know? Or do I have to buy a new horse instead of getting armor for my existing horse?

Play around with your ini file to improve performance. It'll cost graphics-wise ofc.
