I think it's part of the reason rape's numbers are higher too.

It's not in any way to say it's the girls fault. But it could help prevent it in some cases to really not dress like that and such, the appearence it gives off can attract those type of people.

Not their fault, but I could compare it to say, leaving your doors unlocked in a parking lot and it gets stolen. The car thief still needs to be locked up, and it's not the owner's FAULT, but it could have been prevented.

You shouldn't greatly inconvenience yourself in hopes that it will reduce crime, such as wearing non-appealing clothing. It's just not worth the price for some people.

I just think do whatever makes you happy, but just know what you're getting yourself into and don't do things you'll regret. Usually clothing isn't a factor in this, although it can be.

Rape simply due to clothing is very rare, I'd estimate. I really doubt it's that much of a factor. It's more based on the victim's looks and not being careful, etc. A potential random rapist won't be like "Oh, I'll let that one by, her legs are nice but I can't see the skin."
