Thats 4 of the multiplayer modes in Halo 2 that are very similar to UT 2004. In the Gamespot review the even draw the same comparisions

ok, i'm not a 'mindless kid'. i had my mind set to get halo2 when it was suppose to be released over 2 years ago [supposedly it was going to come out a year after halo: combat evolved].

i've been gaming since i had nibbles [the original 'snake' on dos] on my dad's old 386, where i had to use ms-dos [ugly white screen]. so i'm not an ignorant child who does follow trends. i love classics like monkey island, mechwarrior, zelda, command & conquer, the dig, jungle/desert/urban strike, monster bash etc.

i don't follow trends.

fake scores ? apparenlty the scores are from the same sites where hl2 gets its scores.

if you had listened to me at all i wouldn't have to say this. i'm not even comparing both of them, i have had them both preordered for months.

i'm stating that it will sell more [millions and millions of preorders in usa alone] etc.

get a clue. practice english and reword your attempt at showing me how i'm a zombie created by popular culture and the media texts [movies, music etc] and stop marginalising people who have the mind to defend halo2.

Fine thats a valid point about Oddball. But these are perfectly valid comparisons, and after watching 8 video's of Halo 2 MP last night i stand firm by my opinion that Halo 2's MP is going to be great, but its not going to bring anything new or better then what the Unreal Tournament series has introduced to the Multiplayer genre. And i'm sick of people giving it too much praise when they haven't even PLAYED it. Same goes for Half-Life 2

Even in 2002, Battlefield 1942 was doing the things Halo 2 is doing now in Terrirtories.

Halo 2 thread on a HL2 forum and people are arguing, something unexpected!

I am pleased it did well, while Greg explained that levels are still repetitive, since it's only been a short dev time I guess. Location based vehicle damage seems cool and some of the graphics are updated.

Playing as covenant doesn't really interest me, were they out of ideas? Go to another Halo... Fight more flood. A sequel I guess
