Same here thank god. In my four-ish years of college ive only seen a handful of emos. I have a few friends who dress and look like emos, but strangely enough theyre some of the most energetic and happy people ive ever known.

Everybody should get basic human tolerance.

But these kids go out of their way to get their asses kicked, they put these stupid labels upon themself such as "emo" and then try to make a big scene about it. For what? Freedom? No, absolutely nothing.

The offenders are terrible to, but the "emos" are almost as equally bad imo, a bunch of angsty teens and their high school group labels trying to be all "scene" and revolutionary, getting into fights with other angsty teens. This is just an angsty teen group war. F*cking dumb.

Not saying it's wrong to be weird (obviously, look at how I dress) but christ, look at them, all a bunch of f*cking drones "the emos", "the punks", "the metal heads", everyone of them thinks they are different. But are they really?

Wow lot's of ignorant emo hate in here. Most emo kids aren't actually emo...they only dress that way. Any kid who is actually emo is just another attention whore, and believe me there are attention whores in every group so I don't see why people single out emos. It must be because of their girls dressing which I don't see going away, only becoming more popular and this thread is proof of the non fashionable people ignorantly hating on these kids.

I think the main point here is that emo's are one of the most annoying, self-serving, silly, useless subcultures on the planet and no one really cares if bad things happen to them. It's more like a passive acceptance, or mild amusement. I don't really want them to get beaten up, but I'm not gonna get worked up over it. And it's funny.

These teenagers spend their time trying their best to appear oppressed and wronged by society in some way. I mean they really go all out ... it's not particularly disappointing that they finally have something to be all mopey about. On the bright side look how much more time they'll have now that they don't have to cut themselves.
