Well it seems my girlfriend is coming back from seeing her mother in Hong Kong. She's been gone for about 20 days now and I miss her very much. Now you might ask yourself why is this a problem? Well she desided she's coming home on Nov. 17...My god did she know that HL2 was coming out the day before and that is all I wanted to do for with spare time for the next few months??? Im seriously thinking about breaking up with her since she hates me playing games and she will be staying here at my apartment till she finds her own place.

Would any of you guys do what im thinking about doing for this game????
 
Dude, do what you feel is right, but if you really like her, half life 2 can be played a little less :)
 
Er....it's HL2 but it's still just a game. Sure hope this is a joke.
 
Yeah it is sad...but shit man ive been waiting for this game for to damn long...and she REALLY hates me playing games I turn quake 3 on and i get about 2 hours of hardcore bitching. Not to mention i just spent 1500 bucks for my new computer cuz i thought she was coming home in Jan.
 
Dude, if she can't handle you playing games....well then. You have to decide how much you really like her. I personally wouldn't date a chick who didn't like me playing games. we wouldn't get along too well...

I think someone needs to shorten the chain if she's found her way into the study from the kitchen.

Tell her you will be playing this game, don't play too much, but just enough to enjoy it, if she has a problem with it...well then you do what you think is right

Yea i'd say if she gets all pissy about you playing games then a long term relationship would never work

As long as its not like 6 hour chunks at a time every night and you still spend time with her... long as its reasonable she really shouldn't have a problem with it

My g/f watches me play games she really doesn't mind and is looking forward to seeing hl2
 
This girl is living with you and does not have her own apartment? Some kind of girlfriend, she shouldn't leech off you and keep you from playing video games...especially when it's your house.
 
You can find yourself at a point where you own in a game, if you dare say that in a relationship she will slap your face. I say play and let her suck u off while you play, it's a win/win, works for me, as long as you give em equal ride time, the game/girlfriend.
 
Maybe you spend an excessive amount of time playing games, and not spending time with her. Also if shes away in other countries and she gets back and you neglect her...then i hope she dumps you. I don't understand why you think the problem is her? As 'she' said, how old are you?

Nah she had her own place with her cousin, but there lease was up so she went to China to go visit her mother(prolly to get money).

On a more serious note, I would dump her. If she bitches at you for two hours over you doing something you enjoy, break up with her. I know I would.

Hypothetical: If you can't wait for her to move out before you decide to break up with her, and if you become oddly relieved from the breakup, it might be fun to play HL2 while she tries to make you feel bad about your gaming habits.

break up. why? personally i couldn't stand someone saying they don't want me to play, i'm a GAMER, i've been gaming for 13 years (started at 6!) and it's a part of me so if a girl can't accept that - **** her...

although that might be why i haven't had many/any gf's :(
 
Moral of the story kids...never pick a game over a girl, because from there onwards your life gets worse, and you wont get another girl. Go on dump, her and feel the emptyness. HL2 wont go to bed with you or give you company like a person.

If he breaks up, he can still find another girlfriend.
What's so special about this current one? Get a girlfriend who can look after herself.
However, this is just a game which will still be sold even after November.
 
Do like I'm doing...buy 2 copies and give one to your girlfriend. She's looking foward to it almost as much as I am.
