I just got a new mouse.

If you are looking into buying a new mouse read this

It's the best mouse I've ever seen.

It's what you expect from a $40 mouse

When you put your hand on it, it feels like you have just wraped your hand around the perfect breast.

lol

Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer

This thing friggin rocks, and has good software

The thing feels great and has alot of features like side scrolling and forward an back browser buttons on the side

I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you have long

fingers like me, cuz its longer than the other microsoft mice, with

finger indentions on its buttons.

Is that the mouse that has the mouse wheel that doesn't make the clicking noise when you use it? If so :x

Yes it is! I hate the Intelimouse with a passion. I own a Logitech MX510 and I think it's perfect. When I go to my friend's house he has the intelimouse 4.0, which he chose over the MX510 because it was cheaper. When I use it I always get pissed off lol. The wheel is the most annoying thing on it. It doesn't click, it has a smooth roll plus it can move from side to side. I refuse to use that mouse's wheel it is so terrible. When playing games like HL2 or CS:S on it you literally have to roll that thing a mile before it switches to the next weapon. I'd never buy this mouse personally :/.

Na I have an Intellimouse, and at the time i thought it was the bomb. I honestly thought i didnt need anything better, but then i used the holy MX1000 - :O how i was wrong. Also - its official - the MX518 is coming out. Logitechs version of the Razer Diamondback series, its a gaming mouse with something like 1800DPI, wired optical gaming mouse.

BTW i have to say VirusType, the way you write your thread is quite bizaare - do you write your homework or something like that too? LOL reminds me of a poem :D

He writes everything like that, honestly it's quite annoying after a while.

I have an mx510, and love it. Im not having no poor Microsoft trash :p

I have the MX510 too. It works awsome and it looks awsome. IMHO, any mouse that can track up to 15 Gs of acceleration should be owned by every gamer on the planet.

I've got that MX510 aswell. I haven't had a chance to use it yet since i'm stuck on this laptop with no mouse room. I was worried about it being a little bit too big to move around quickly. I had the previous version of the mouse and it was much smaller.

I thought the same thing but I was wrong. It's VERY quick and dead accurate. Just be sure to install the software that comes with it.

Ive got a intellimouse and love it, especially the forward and back internet buttons on the side and it feels very nice.

I have a intellimouse explorer 4.0, and love it. Im not having no poor logitch trash

 Nobody wants logitech trash.... so get the mx510 :imu:

i have an intellimouse. i love it.
I had an intellimouse....
Screw it..
I hated it overall..
I'll take my cheap Logitech over it anyday.

I have the mx510 too, and I love the 'forward' and 'backward' buttons on the left side. They are extremely usefull!:D I use the 'backward' button as 'switch to manipulator' and the forward button as 'suit zoom'. In other games, I use them to lean most of the time.

some intellimouses(mice???) dont click when the wheel turns most do. I have the unclicking one and the wheel is so ridiculously sensitive that whenever I play cs I am constantly whipping out my knife on accident. But other than that its frikkin sweet!

The wheel has at least 2 adjustments for vertical movement.
one is how much it moves, the second is if you move it fast, how much more should it go.

I probably didn't explain it well, both are completly adjustable and the acceleration can be turned off.

I think it rules for LONG pages, like for this forum.

This is a newer version yea it goes side to side, thats what I like about it.

I use the number keys to switch weapons in HL2

who needs buttons? I love my Razer Viper and it only has the two regualr buttons and the scrollwheel, but it's damn accurate and the software for it is clutch, i've never worked with amouse before that tracked so quickly and accurately, I;d like to know about the new Razer Diamonback though, if anyone has one

I've also got an MX510. It's pretty clear that anyone truely serious about getting a good mouse ends up with one. TBH, i've not used the extra buttons much.... I was trying to bind HL2DM "Sprint" to one of them in the hope of saving my small finger from reaching for the Shift key (OUCH!), but it's just not easy enough to do.

Ah, I can't stand logitec, and I can't stand the clicking, I guess it's just a matter of preference.

I can tell you one thing, do not get a Kingston mouse. That thing hurt my hand so bad, even during short periods of use
Its software is like a virus.

i have an mx500 its the sechs :p

it is realy comfortable and coupples dsoooooooooo well with a destrukt megamat! :p

Ive got a mx510 too ill never change...untill the mx518 :)

Did you mean Kensington?

I liked the old wireless MS intelli (3.0 I think) mouse but thats back when mice in general were not this precise. Although I really liked Logitech's MX series. Never cared for logitech's mice shape before though.

I swear by logictech mx310 ..cheap and it's a great mouse. I'm on my 3rd one (hehe gaming kills mice)

Amen to that. Why would you spend more on something (i.e the mx510) when you can't tell the difference?
310 is best for moneys.

It's like comparing a rad9800pro with a x800xt. If you really want the best mouse buy mx510 (not mx1000; has a delay because it's wireless). And if you really have so little money that you can't pay $50, go buy an mx310...

the mx510 has more buttons, and is more ergonomical ..but beyond that I think they're pretty much the same ..I go through about a mouse a year so it doesnt make sense to spend $80 on a mouse (mx1000)

I have a MX510, also... (I didn't know so many people had 'em).

I came to the MX510 from a $5 Optical mouse.

You can visualized my enthusiasm.

There's not that much diffence between the 310 and 510 but there are some. For example, dpi is the same on both mouses yet the mx510 has image processing at 5.8 megapixels per sec. The 310 has 4.7.

Not much of a diffrence but still a diffrence. And like someone else said, if you want the best pay the money. If you don't get the best bang for the buck.

I prefer my trust Ami mouse 300 dual scroll. cheap, old, probably not sold/made anymore but its cool and i like it. Second best is the wacom mouse.

Yes thats the one. Kensington.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
It installs active x controlls and shit, and removes the normal mouse settings page from WindowsXP and replaces it with a really gay version with less options. In this way, it forces its gay software to be used for any other mice you have installed, (I had 2 mice at the time)

Then, it refuses to be removed- it's practicaly like a virus- along with plenty of errors. I was still finding Kensington residue all over my computer for months.

Like I said after 10 minutes your hand will get a cramp like a bitch.

Also It tries to automaticaly register itself and without permision (that makes me furious when programs try to sneak onto the internet)

Last but more importantly, it has some really screwed up acceleration that makes it really difficult to get the mouse pointer to stop where you want.

It's ****ing retarted. You have been warned.

I use logitech MX510. But now i'm looking for some pad. I've heard that there's a pad from glass. Do u know what it is?

I've got the Logitech MX1000 and it just p*sses all over microsofts optical mice (i know, i've had them).

I thought my first M$ Optical mouse was great when i got it 2+ years ago, but the MX1000 is just in a completely different league, and you won't understand this till you get one.

Yes I know what it is. Bullshit. Atleast, an optical mouse won't work on glass. The mouse needs to recieve the light reflected from the surface under the mouse. If the surface is glass, most of the light goes right through the pad... no signal coming back means no movement detection.

I might be wrong though.

It's not transparent glass, its black glass... and it enhances reflection for better pick-up than on other mouse-pads or desks.

I've gone through a couple IME 3.0s and a couple fUnc sUrface 1030s, and I couldn't have it any other way.

I've never cared much for Logitech mice... some of my friends use them, but I'm not a big fan.
