If you met a person with the same personality as yourself, would you like him/her?

If you met a person who was you in another body (exactly the same personality), do you think you would get along with him/her? It's something I ask myself sometimes.

EDIT: My "love" I don't mean sexual love, just to avoid confusion.
 
I would have thought so, cos they'd like exactly the same stuff you did.

Then again maybe they wouldn't, cos it depends on how you were brought up and socialised... but if it was a replica of you then you'd have the same interests.

Do you mean like you would ask them "do you want a pie?", "do you want to play xbox?", for example, and they would always agree with you so that's what would be the annoying part?

Gotta be some differences in personality if i was to love them...but if they had my exact personality would probs like them
 
i know several with the same personality as me, usually they're the same star sign, and i hate them all with a passion.
 
well I like myself,not overegoed but maybe I will like her,however I really dont think someone will be like me
 
I think I would like them... I can be kind of abrasive if I'm in a pissy mood, but overall I'm quite an enjoyable guy.

I actually did. Same age, likes, hates, signs, college. Opposite sex. It was almost seeing myself in third-person.

Too bad that I transferred to UMD this semester. I'm kind of interested in how it would have turned out. She was damn cute too.
 
I've been best friends with somebody exactly like myself (except slightly more OCD)for almost 8 or 9 years now. They call us the A-Team...because when our powers of amusement combine then we're pretty damn amusing.
 
Just personality? probably indifferent, but w/ same interests and female? Soul mate.

I met a girl about 5-6 weeks ago, we're almost exactly alike, it's creepy sometimes. Same EXACT favorite animal, color, things to do, foods, least favorite foods, music, etc, etc, etc. We think the same way, we're both very smart, and very creative.

I mean the food one is really creepy, we both don't like: Honey, Whipped Cream, Chocolate, Pudding, Pepperoni, Tuna, Liver, Salad, Green Beans, peas, potato chips, Ham, and that's only half of what I've discovered so far. Most people like most stuff on that list (except maybe peas & liver). It's not like we're extremely picky with foods, but it's always the same.

EDIT: And she's my girlfriend now. We actually both were trying hard to not start anything, lol, that didn't work, now we're inseparable.
 
Probably not like me. I tend to be an ass to be people until I like them, then I get all sweet as roses. Still an ass to everyone else though...

Fascinating concept... How literal are we being here though? Are we saying they'd act exactly like you would, or do they just have the same traits but may act differently... If they were exactly the same, there's absolutely no possible way you could not enjoy it, it'd be like talking to yourself, or thinking aloud. I know for one thing that it'd be awesome to jam on music equipment with them... Heh. It'd be like having 4 hands, pretty much, being able to do twice as much as normal. If you thought the same things about everything, there'd be no conflict by definition. Unless you drastically hated yourself, and the way you acted... Which some people may say "I hate myself" but it has to be really serious..

Anyway, as far as things like, if I brought my "clone" along with me when with friends, it would be kind of annoying because I like being the odd one in the group, or leading the group. Conflict might arrise there if they didn't think the same way as I did. But it really depends again on how exactly alike we are.

So yeah, answers vary.
 
Throughout my life, some of my friends have had similar personality traits as me... it helps develop the friendship in the first place, but after a year or so you're sick to death with them and end up beating them to within an inch of their lives with a metal bar.

I've only known a few people remotely like me, and I frikken' loved all of them. I guess I have a thing for the cynics :D
 
Ha ha, i'm currently goin out with a chick who's personality mimic's my own. I love the time we spend together, we talk and listen to each other well... IT'S PERFECT! We have been goin out for 6mnths now which is like a record... :D

I can't see any problems whatsoever, except we'd be both lazy.
