Its really a game every Resi fan or everyone should get, but the PS2 version looks dull because of the "railgun"

do you haveto have a knowledge of the other re's to understand this games story fully or is it totally standalone?

Not at all - this has nothing to do with the previous games in the series (other than having Leon as the protagonist)

And yes, this is next gen gaming on current gen consoles It's great that everyone without a GC finally gets to experience this game - which is easily the best to appear on any format in the last few years (imo, of curse)

I agree with Warbie, its easily one of the best games on any platform for the last 5 or so years. For me RE4, Ninja Gaiden and HL2 have been some of the best ever gaming experiences

Oh yeah it was a great game, I played it and beat it like 4 times, same with assignment ada, and got 5 stars on all of the mercenary missions...

but man, you have to admit, the story went from badass to what the **** from 0-60 ... well, moreso about halfway through the game.

I hear that it hav a bonus levels but you hav to beat the whole game to play the bonus? cuz I am playing in a gamecube and even if is a very good game,I find it anoying to beat it again

I don't think it really needs to be. He's magic, or something. You may as well ask where Leon got his handgun, or who the two guys driving him at the beginning of the game are.

But, I thought the story was good. Not great, but it fit. The game is hardly story-oriented though.

Exactly, it wasn't story oriented, and IMO game of the year 2005 hands down. It was great, and the story didn't get bad, it just got... strange.

And as for your question, Sparta, I really have no idea. There we're a few plotholes to be explained.

Are you sure you didn't mean uhhh... the main dude (can't think of his name) and not Salazar?
