Epic, that is saved in my desktop.

What? Horses aren't forest animals, they live on the plains... Maybe you're thinking of unicorns.

But unicorns could magic themselves out of that kind of situation

Yes I realize that they graze in plains and what not, but they do inhabit forest land.

Bodies of six horses believed to be part of a wild herd under protection by the federal courts were discovered in the forest near Pinedale last week. All six horses had been shot...
Supporters of the horses believe that historical, affidavit, and pictorial evidence points to the fact that the recent victims of these brutal shootings and all unbranded, free-roaming horses in Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests are wild horses protected under the Wild Horse and Burro Act

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache-Sitgreaves_National_Forest

The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest is a 2 million acre (8000 km?) National forest which runs along the Mogollon Rim and the White Mountains in east-central Arizona and extending into New Mexico, USA. Both forests are managed as one unit by USDA Forest Service from the forest headquarters in Springerville, Arizona.

Northern tribes of Native Americans ( especially the Souix and Crow) have had curly horses as far back as the early 1700's. According to native traditions, small populations of curly horses were found in the Northern forests hundreds of years before Spanish horses were introduced from the South

In the rich quiet hills and forests of the island of Cephalonia, a sudden motion catches the eye. A deer? Too big. What can it be? If the observer is lucky, over there, emerging into a sunny meadow, is one of less than two dozen wild horses who inhabit the forest land.

Okay, those may be called "forest" by name, but they're hardly what I picture when I think about real coniferous or deciduous forests, like the picture depicted. I'm fairly sure you'd be hard pressed to find wild horses roaming regularly in a thick forest like the one in the picture.

Well yea, lookin at that picture I see what you mean but you said plain forest In your OP, not coniferous or deciduous forests so we were both off.:)

Unless they'd already used their once-per day teleport! Or maybe Venger was stopping them.
