I'm guessing "All modeled in Google Sketchup" would have been a more description, as surely they couldn't have been rendered/textured in it. But I will no longer doubt the power of that app. Very inspiring.

Nope. Its pretty much all done in sketchup. Theres post work done in a 2d app for the dirt and background I think, but all the materials and the render themselves are from sketch up. He put up a tutorial, but its in russian.

Wow, too bad I'll never recreate it due to how goddamn expensive the software package required to accomplish his work is.

Also, having used Sketchup to model fairly simple things (a ballroom and furniture to figure out furniture placement for my wedding) I know enough to say that the Follow Me tool has completely magical properties and that man is a wizard with it. It's ****ing witchcraft.
