ok, i was looking at some of TDE's old paintings(i love it man!) and i realized, how stupid i typed back then, im realizing im typing better, not meaning faster, but with better spelling and grammar. who else thinks that you've improved over time?

Yea I've improved a whole lot!

Thanks hl2.net!

Same as always.
Cept I don't post
In verse anymore.
I should really go
Back to doing that.

I think Halflife2.net and Maddox have influenced me.
Lol.. those are some pretty questionable influences

I try to take more pride in typing, make my sentences legible and easy to read. It makes people come off much better than, say, "omg can i b of ne help 2 u? lol"
Indubedubly.

I think there's a guy (cant remember his name) and he was saying this like "combine aernt meant ta be xex3h xex3h" which gave me a lot of headaches :(

In chat I still don't use proper punctuation/grammar/capitilisation, but on forums I'm a nazi about my own spelling and stuff, often use the dictionary.com thinger on Firefox to check things :)

When I first came to MSN. I typed with pretty poor grammer. But soon afterwards I found myself in English exams writing "u" instead of you etc... So I stopped slang completely and can't remember what its like to use it.

If I don't type with some tiny bit of grammar, Chris_D will whip me once, and then every other news poster for the amount of words in my post. Please, think of my poor colleagues. Free us. Overthrow the cruel editor!

There has been a cycle of grammar from highs to lows, when I went to crappy chat rooms and msn I started typing that shitty "hey u wot u doing" stuff i.e ignorant slang. But hl2.net turned me around and now im super again, sure I don't put puncuation in always and I can't spell, but nothing can change that. :D

edit- Oh and don't worry Kangy, help is on the way! ;)

Yes, we're planning a revolution here in the back alleys. We just need some people from hl2fallout, then we're ready to go.

Oh god, what was he trying to say?

I think that 8 year old was saying

"Combine aren't meant to be sexy, sexy."

Yea, found the post I was talking about, posted by Mr. MarcoPolo :p

2. they didnt replace that with teh pulse rifle they replaced it with the Mp 7 which in my popinion was a good move caz the scpe rifle wasnt that good...

4. the assasins were cut caz their AI was a little too good on every difficulty setting. and they wanted combine to stay ugly and haed not sexeh and sexeh and the assasins had a really good weapon.

I've said it once and i'll say it again...

I was just advertising about joining Civil Protection on MSN. Once again, I could barely understand since they couldn't spell 'raped' properly...

EDIT: hehehehhehee.

Oh, I thought you mean, like a real-life organization or something, not THAT Civil Protection

on chat programs i tend to shorten words like u, r, k, stuff like that because you are constantly typing, its quicker, and noone else is going to read it.

On forums you tend to get people that pick on spelling and typos, so typing correctly gives them one less reason to be an idiot.

Try speaking aol style on www.wtf.com and you will get ripped apart. Great forum there and if you can handle yourself there you can handle any forum.

I want to join the grammar nazis but im not good enough :( teach me wise ones!

WHERE IS YOUR FULLSTOP?

I was pretty young when I started using the internet, so I learned alot of good swedish and english grammar. I haven't really used much shortcuts on the internet as far as I can remember, except perhaps "Youre" instead of "you're" and some similar things. Nowadays, I try to write as correctly as possible, it's alot better having the habit to do that instead of "wrytein lyke dis".

I usually did it to make an impression on people when I first joined, but it kind of stuck. It was funny when I talked to all my firends on AIM, and I was the only one using proper English.

It gets annoying when people are all "itz only da internet, nt skool!1", so I strive to be the opposite of them :).
