So after reading this thread, I thought I'd ask you people, what do you believe in? atheism, monotheism or polytheism?

then again,I don't believe all that Darwinism mumbojumbo since its always changing
I am atheist
the whole "god makes universe and attempts to destroy all life he creates but is unsuccessful" is a bit much for me
then again,I don't believe all that Darwinism mumbojumbo since its always changing
first-we come from monkeys
then-maybe dogs,we are similar
now-we have so much in common with mice,is it possible?
my answer-NO DUMBASS,let me find the appropriate card for you
oh here it is,its called the SHUT THE HELL UP card
humans are not mice
laymans terms
human=human
mice=mice
human doesn't equal mice
Bow, most organisms of a particular branch are built in the same way. Similar organs, similar forms. The genetic code is only four nucleotides long.no,I get evolution,if it would stop changing,maybe I would believe it
monkey=human is the only plausible example out there,yet science tries to convince everybody that we are from about 5 different organisms,which make 0 sense when each is completely different and unique

We are genetically similar to mice and dogs in some ways, but we are actually descended from primates. You really do have no idea what you're talking about.no,I get evolution,if it would stop changing,maybe I would believe it

wow, am I the only monotheist here?
Agnostic = atheist
Agnostic = atheist
Actually, an agnostic is one who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God; an atheist is one who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods.

Atheists too say it's impossible to know whether there is a God or not.Actually, an agnostic is one who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God; an atheist is one who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods.
Hinduism, etcNeither, I consider myself agnostic... and by agnostic's definition then I am more close to being an atheist.
Who the hell is a polytheist
So, you are an atheist, yet reject scientifically proven fact evolution is on the basis that you don't understand it?
Figures, less-than-intelligent people are in all beliefs.
Isn't that just Deism?Wow, you're an intolerant prick these days.
On Topic:
I believe I'm more agnostic (something out there but I don't think its the strict abrahamic interpretation of what a diety could be.)
I think that this thread is unneccesary.
These threads always come to the conclusion that atheism is better, and that religon is unneccesary and stupid. This is not the case. If there was no religon, then what would we do with our lives? Nothing. We would strive for nothing, because we would know that after this life comes nothing. Mu. So, what's the point? With religon we know that after this life comes a newer, better life that this life pays for. Religon is neccessary, true or not, and if we do not have it, many things would go uknown. We would all fear death. Do we really need another one of these threads to cement the fact that Atheism is the dominant belief in this forum? Even atheism is a religon. It guides your actions, and what you do.

Also, nothing is proven. Evolution cannot be proven. Nothing can be proven. Nothing.
Without religion, I strive to do things of my own volition. I treat others nicely, I work and go to school, and I try to help other people because I want to. Religion has nothing to do with this. If religion disappeared tomorrow, what do you honestly think would happen? Would the moral structure of our society magically crumble away? Would we all commit mass-suicide because we don't believe in an afterlife? No, of course not. Religion doesn't hold our society together any more; the days when it did disappeared once nations started creating long-lasting governments. If religion disappeared, we would continue to co-exist based on the structure and moral code that government, law, and common sense provide.I think that this thread is unneccesary.

No. With religion you believe that you'll pass on to an afterlife.With religon we know that after this life comes a newer, better life that this life pays for. No. Atheism is the lack of a belief in a higher power. That is literally the only common trait amongst Atheists. Christians hold many common view points and moral beliefs (I trust I don't need to list them), which is how Christianity can manage to guide the actions of its followers. But Atheism is not a religion because it doesn't force codes of morality or belief upon its "followers". Calling Atheism a religion is like saying HL2.net is a religion. Being a .netter just means you come here often and post; you don't even have to have played Half-Life to be here. Being a .netter is the only 100% common trait amongst people who go on HL2.net, just as being atheist is the only 100% common trait amongst atheists.Even atheism is a religon. It guides your actions, and what you do.
