Why don't you try it and tell me how it works out .

If you ever attended an American school it goes like this. School mistreats students, puts up all kinds of pointless rules, then doesn't listen to the students complain. When I went to high school it got so bad they wanted to shut down our school paper because a couple of writers were saying bad things about the administration. Luckily a bunch of pissed off parents called and they weren't able to shut them down.

Most people forget how badly they were treated in high school by their administrators and I probably would have forgotten about it if they didn't do what they did to me. I won't go into any details as I'm afraid this forum wouldn't be able to hold the size of the post but they completely ****ed up. I was punished for not really doing anything wrong while my friend, who's parents had a lot more money than mine, (and he did something wrong) got off with a slap on the wrist. The system is so corrput it amazes me that the media hasn't reported anything on it.

Waaaaa.. Get thru it. Other folks have managed to do it. The rest of your life probably wont be any easier. So there's no time like now to learn to deal with problems that come up.

Trust me, it gets easier. In college, they will actually listen to my complaints and make concessions to make me happy. They don't do that in high school unless you have an enraged parent right behind you.

USually it's the old male teachers that have the worst names, like Edgar or Jeff  .

I have long gotten over it, the thing is I won't forget it and when I have a chance I will do something about it. Many people have no idea how bad the situation really is and most people simply don't care because they have long gotten out of high school. When a student is favored over another because of their money status something needs to be done. I know you are thinking that this happens once in a blue moon but that is not the case, it ALWAYS happens.

What ends up happening is that the administrators only listen to parents who never actually attend school; however, they will completely ignore the students who are there 6-7 hours each and every day.

jesus, where the hell did you go to school? my highschool classes were totally tailored for students to excel and grow. we had AWESOME teachers that let us decide on a lot of what we would learn beyond the regular curriculum... ALTHOUGH i did have one f*cking c*ck sucking asshole c*nt faced calc teacher in hs... what a f*cking f*ggot.

meh...
i suppose being an IB student helps ... i dunno what regular hs classes are like ;(

btw foxtrot, college professors never pull that shit. just make yourself get past this. btw, don't do anything that will enrage/embarrass the teacher(especially with her bosses and/or public settings, such as in front of the class), she'll just become vengeful. talk it out with her. be completely calm and mature about it. you can do it! be the better man...i know it's hard with some females ;)

I am talking about public schools. Private schools can be great, I never went to once but I knew people that have. Those people usually had a much better experiance in high school than most of us public school kids did.

In a similar situation, I would go way above her head and report her. She is completely out of line by throwing away your test. It is yours, and you have a right to see it. Also, if she doesn't have proof that you cheated, she shouldn't be able to get you in trouble for it. I'm sure that her making a mockery of you would help your cause, as well.

I can't be positive that this will work (kids in school are generally powerless, and she might have tenure...). But it is worth a try, since you say you did not cheat or do anything wrong. Although, I suggest not giving her an attitude, as that would make things worse.

...by the way, I know how you feel :D Best of luck to ya!

I agree with that. Teachers shouldn't be able to throw away your test so you have no proof of what grade you have. My school even makes teachers keep all the final exam papers filed for a few years so they don't mess up like that. I've had a few bad teachers. One had a horrible pass/fail grading system, and another one (my 10th grade Spanish teacher) would lose our work and then blame it on the students and say that someone stole it to make her look bad. She also kept blaming the kids in the year before me for messing up her stapler . Then she'd show us these nasty videos and give people weird nasty interpretations of Spanish stories... ugh. She's not teaching anymore -- I think last year's kids got her to "retire."

My bad, don't know how I got that. However, as a IB student you weren't like most other students so your experiance was probably much different. I am talking about regular students that tend to get in trouble once in a while (most high school students fall in this category I think) and how those students are treated.

less than a hundred but more than 15 :E

nah, it's just that I like to be a bit mysterious ...besides what if my former students recognised me?

"omg our teacher is soooooo coool, he likes HL2!!!!"

I'd yell at her myself, I hate when teachers try talk down to me. They treated me like I was 4 until I started speaking up. I then had fun sitting outside offices during class periods :P better than letting some ignoramous talk shit to you tho :E

Yah, steadily I've been losing respect for teachers as intellectual superiors.

About 20% of my teachers currently have my respect, which isn't too bad, as last year it was about 10%.

jeez.. 3200 kids. the school i go to has ~2000. i cant imagine being in a school like that.

me too, but mainly because most english teachers don't know how to speak english right. and i get bad grades because they don't understand my answers - i have to talk in a simpler way for them to understand:X
