Injuries

Never broken a bone, went flying off my bike over a huge jump when I was like seven, cut myself up pretty bad... burned my palm on a frying pan? Nothing serious, just passing/niggling pains.

Oh, my mum says that when I was little, I walked straight up to the oven (Which was on "HIGH"), and put both hands on the glass front... blistered all to heck... I don't remember it, but I do know that nowdays hot water feels merely warm to me...

You're lucky. I lost 10 cm of skin from my hip to a big pizza hoven when I was 6. My bro pushed me.

Fortunately it's all good now. I don't even remember how it was, but it eventually grew back after those plastic skin implants

Owch...

My dad once tried to see if the blades on a lawnmower were still spinning by putting his hand underneath it...

They were...

Last year I was playing football with my friends and I was about to catch a ball, except it went directly at my fingers, so my fingers got pushed a bit into my hand... It was like how you jam some fingers if you catch something but this was a lot worse. I sprained my knuckles pretty bad and even now those certain knuckles look a bit bigger than the rest of them, but it feels fine. ;(

The exact same thing happend to me when I was like three, although hot water still is hot to me.

had 4 sets of stitches by the age of 5, knocked in my frontal top and lower teeth on a trampoline(braces saved em), broke my finger (hit some guy in the face and he really did deserve it), bad torn muscle from wrestling in high school, and was in a coma for just under a month after i was struck with steven johnsons syndrom TENS(very bad). many other countless injuries from bmx, football, soccer, and things of that sort, and yes i mean injuries(sprains, hyper extensions, etc.). all in all im ok though, still a damn handsome bloke :p
i dont mean to whine but i thought hey heres a chance to show my war scars.

i feel like iv learn a lot from my experiences, a lot more than say someone who hasnt been through the kind of physical and emotional pain as i have, most people do not experience these types of things.

My worst injuries are kind of weird..... I've never broken a bone....but I have really fair skin, so I've gotten HORRIBLE sun burns.

Like once....i got a sun burn on my back that gave me second degree burns. Had boils and everything.

Then one time after fishing for a couple of hours without any sun block or anything. When I got home....my face was so sun burnt.............................that I was sweating puss. And another time just my bottom lip got sun burnt and it got all swollen, like 2 or 3 times normal size. And it got all cracked and had puss comming out of it. And I still had to go to summer camp for that week. (no one made fun of me though.....you'd think kids of any age would have....but they were more like.....aww man, that sucks..)

That's quite disgusting... you see, this is why geeks stay indoors, with the blinds shut...

As a child I had so many accidents the hospital was considering calling social services to pay my parents a visit.
I've cut my head open three maybe four times.
Never broken any bones though, thankfully. <Touches wood>

Ummm... right... :D Seriously, WTF?
I think you're supposed to... uh... knock... on it...

I've cut my finger opening a can once, and I bled about a gallon out of it in the time span of the hour it took to finally stop sort of.

:hmph: Pffft. Not in this country, Yank boy.

Yeah loss of blood is fun, iddn'it? When I was really young I had bright blonde (practically white) hair, and so my hair literally went blood red when I cut it open. Such a sight...

I was mountain biking and got attacked by a bear once. It was a mother trying to protect her cubs. I started yelling at her and throwing rocks and she eventually ran away. Probably the closest to death I've ever been. I also tore up my arm pretty bad once rock climbing, 32 stiches in all...

Hmm for me two things....cut my wrist when was in the 5th grade. I fell into a hole and sliced it on a bottle. No stiches because I refused to go to the hospital (I still hate hospitals). I lost feeling in the palm of that hand.

The other one was I punched a door (yes dumb) when I was 24....broke two bones which are still crooked and cost me $3000 to fix.

^ Thank god for the NHS, thats $3000 I would want to keep. You guys are sure unlucky, never go gambling.

Damn this thread is naasty!!
No offense... :p

Fender! If the sun is so damn dangerous to you, use some sun block or something! For your sake man :)

I've had some pretty bad ones but nothing spectacular worth telling you lot about.. Oooh, except this one...

I was chopping wood one time when I was small, and after a while the axe became to heavy, so I dropped the axe on my own head... (Not the sharp end.....) Bled a hellofuva lot, and it hurt too...

I must've been a stupid little bugger when I was small...

When I was 7, believe it or not, I bit my tongue completely off. It was severed just about in half; pretty close to half, that is :).

How? Well, yeah... it may sound lame, but IT CAN BE DANGEROUS DAMNIT!!!123 :D Sledding accident >__<... yeah, yeah, yeah. But I was sledding and I ran into some huge-ass billboard / telephone pole type thing; at least, that's what I was told. I remembered nothing, due to the concussion.

I never broke any bone.. Never got stung by a bee either. Guess I'm pretty lucky.

Worst I've got was somehow tearing apart a muscle just beside my left shoulder..
Or something.. I don't even know what it was..
didn't need any treatment although I still get some muscle spazms over there.. that hurt ;(

Hmm....I slipped off a wood pile once and landed flat on my back on top of a bee's nest.....pretty much crushed the whole thing.

To say the least, the bees were none to happy with me.

Not an injury as such, but i was at this football thing when i was younger and it was warm and i was sweating. Anyhoo, they gave use free (new, unwashed) footy shirts as a gift. Played football a bit longer, lifted up my sleeve (dunno why) and i saw a shit load of blisters! I took off the shirt and i was covered in the buggers! My mum took me to hospital and they popped a couple of the big ones and then told me to stay at home at not to pop any more.

It was like sleeping in liquid-filled bubble wrap, i had to change my sheets every day for about 3 days

I don't mange to hurt myself very often, but when the time comes for something to hurt me, it's very over eloborate and extremely painfull.

Take for instance when I was living at my old house which had a concreate path all the way around it which was about 3ft in height and easy to slip on when it rained as there was quite a bit of moss growing on parts of it. I had just come back from swimming, and it was pissing it down.

So I hop out of the car, and not wanting to get wet I took the shortest and quickest option to get into the house, so I run up to the edge of the concrete path, the part with the moss as it was nearest the door, jump up onto the ledge and put all of my weight onto my right leg to force my way up *slip* My right foot slides out from beneath me and my left foot was just in limbo, all of my weight came down onto my right leg which landed on the sharp, sharp edge on the concrete path.

I didn't feel anything for about 1 minute, I just thought I had banged it. But then I started to feel a sharp, cold, numb sensation so I pulled my right trouser lug up and then gallons of blood started to pour out of this really deep gash around my bone. It bled all night long, I think I had to change the bandages around my leg about 4 times before I could get to the doctors in the morning.

When I reached the Doctors I had one of those huge sticky plasters over the wound, and seeing as I was a developing young boy at the time (10) I was starting to get fine hair on my legs and the bastard doctor made me divert my attention to something in his office, then while I wasen't looking he ripped the bloody thing off! AHHHHHH!!!

So after it got cleaned up and stitched I discoverd that I had dented my bone and knackerd up all the feeling around the wound. Even though it's healed really well I can still see the scar on my leg and can't feel bugger all on the bone.
It turned out to be an interesting weekend. ¬_¬ I't still been healing itself till this day I think as the bone seems to have... rematerialized the part it was missing heh.

And that's my life story ¬_¬ thankyou, and goodnight!

for childhood stunts...I got one...

as a toddler, I swollowed an open safty pin.
thankfully, my mom saw me do it, and get dad to turn me upide-down and hit my back a few times to get it out.

other then that...the usually key in the socket (TWICE), bite clear though toung (Anyone else have a scar on their tougne)? etc. Almost drowned once to....but hey, still here.

No broken bones, though I have pulled muscles and sprained bones before...

A kid I know at school has died twice, literrally. I am not making this up.
He fell of a 60 foot cliff on to rock, on his back, died (as in his heart stopped beating) was rushed to the hospital and the fixed him up.
He was walking down seattle at night and was shot (yes shot, i did not belive him untill he showed me the entry and exit scars) the bullet went through his abdomen area and yet again his heart stopped. He was taken to a hospital and they patched him up again.

He has no permenant disabillties or anything from either incident. His only concern is that the Navy seals will not take him because of physical imperfection. guys only like 5 ft tall too.

One time a guy mooned me and I hit him in the a$$ with a stick lol

Dulrough..

they'll take him as a DRID, otherwise known as Designated Reusable Intelligent Decoy...

usually it's just a DID, but hey... :D
