Is this worth it??

I noticed today in town that medieval II total war gold was 11 quid (due to the retailer being in administration). I know that is quite a good deal for this game. But really before I decide if I should pick it up or not is medieval II as good as people say?

NOTE: Also mass effect on pc was a fiver but I still won't pick it up due to the DRM, gutted

Although I prefer Rome, medieval is a good game for itself. I've already pre-ordered the special edition of Empire.

Rome was better in my opinion too, but Medieval 2 is still totally worth that price. Get it!

Get Medieval 2, and then head to twcenter.net and get some awesome mods for it. M2TW is a great game, but unmodded it's just too easy and boring.

It is. And if you find the map of vanilla MTW2 too big, you can always play one of the four scenarios from Kingdoms.

Oh is rome good too cos the rome total war anthology was 9 quid.

I thought the game might be too old to play or something now, damn.

I don't think it matters but the first medieval total war gold was there for 3 pounds but I believe that game is murder to get running on most systems nowadays anyway.
